Low:e and Elizabeth White Part2 (Part 1 ofthe article on Stanton Prior, published In North Wansdyke Past and Present, no. 4, concentrated on the development of the village. Part 2 Is concerned with the history ofthe manor and the people who held it.) In many villages there was no distinction between the village and the manor.
