It is the world's tallest statue with a height of 182 metres (597 ft). It is located on a river island facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the river Narmada. The project was first announced in 2010 and the construction of statue started in October 2014 by Larsen & Toubro (L & T), who received the contract for ?2,989 crore. It was designed by Indian sculptor Ram V. Sutar, and was inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31st October 2018, the 143rd anniversary of Patel's birth. The statue was built on a Public Private Partnership model, with most of the money raised by the Government of Gujarat. The Gujarat state government had allotted 6 billion for the project in the budget from 2012 to 2015. In the 201415 Union Budget, 2 billion were allocated for the construction of the statue. Fund were also contributed by Public Sector Undertakings under Corporate Social Responsibility scheme. I 2. Spring Temple Buddha : The Spring Temple Buddha is B a statue depicting Vairocana Buddha located in the T Zhaocun township of Lushan County, Henan, China, built Institute Pvt. Ltd from 1997 to 2008. It is located within the Fodushan Scenic Area, close to National Freeway no. 311. At 128 metres (420 ft), including a 25 metres (82 ft) lotus throne, overall 153 meters it is the second-tallest statue in the world as of 2018 (after the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, India with a height of 182 metres (597 ft). The project as a whole was estimated to cost around $55 million, The Spring Temple Buddha derives its name from the nearby Tianrui hot spring, whose water, at 60 °C (140 °F), is renowned in the area for its curative properties. The statue was completed on 1st September 2008 dedicated to Gautam Budha. 3. Ushiku Daibutsu : Ushiku Daibutsu is a statue located in Ushiku, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Completed in 1993, it stands a total of 120 metres (390 ft) tall, including the 10 m (33 ft) base and 10m lotus platform. The statue held the record for the tallest statue from 19932002. As of 2018, it is one of the top five tallest statues in the world. Liquidity adjustment facility (LAF) is a monetary policy tool which allows banks to borrow money through repurchase agreements. LAF is used to aid banks in adjusting the day to day mismatches in liquidity. LAF consists of repo and reverse repo operations. 3. Repo Rate: Whenever the banks have any shortage of funds they can borrow it form RBI. Repo rate is the rate at which commercial banks borrows rupees from RBI.

This is the first tourism ministerial meeting between member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism and Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, India, K. J. Alphons represented India at the conference. Tourism ministers of member states of SCO deliberated on travel product development, tourist security and research on high-tech tourism management to develop a smart tourism system. An action plan for tourism cooperation between SCO member states from 2019 to 2020 was approved at the conference. The joint action plan specifies efforts for cooperation between national tourism administrations, measures to enhance tourist experience and safety, development of tourist products and promotion of smart tourism.     INDIAN CRICKETERS’ ASSOCIATION (ICA) ELECTION - 11 OCTOBER 2019 TO 13 OCTOBER 2019 DRAFT ELECTORAL ROLL 30 September 2019 From the Electoral Officer, BCCI Pursuant to Section II of the Election Notification for ICA Election issued on 30 September 2019 (“ICA Election Notice”), the Electoral Officer, BCCI hereby announces the draft Electoral Roll, as included in Schedule 1 hereto, for the ICA Election to be held through e-voting from 11 October 2019 to 13 October 2019. The draft Electoral Roll consists of all individuals who have applied to become members of the ICA on or before 21 September 2019 and have tentatively been deemed eligible to be granted membership to the ICA, based on the eligibility criteria specified in the Articles of Association of the ICA (the “Articles”). The final grant of ICA membership shall be subject to the individual complying with any statutory and legal requirements and other requirements as may be specified by the Board of Directors of the ICA (“ICA Board”), including with respect to the payment of membership fees, if any. Applicants may note that each name in the draft Electoral Roll has been designated with a Colour Grade depending on the completeness of the application received and determination of eligibility. Individuals whose names have been marked with Orange or Blue Colour Grades in accordance with the grading system described below are advised that their inclusion in the Electoral Roll shall be conditional on such individuals submitting the required information/documentation as may be specified by the ICA or the ICA being able to make a definitive determination regarding such individuals eligibility to be admitted to the Electoral Roll.
