CLEANING UP SAVERNAKE ROAD How to contact us Cllr Oliver Cooper: 07929 466890 [email protected] Cllr Steve Adams 07980 944864 [email protected] John Webber: 07939 208223 [email protected] Recycling wasn’t collected from hundreds of local homes on Monday, but this was fixed the following day after intervention by Camden’s Conservative councillors. Recent failings to collect rubbish and recycling are being reviewed and fixed, thanks to Camden’s leader of the opposition Cllr Oliver Cooper and Savernake Road resident and former Conservative councillor Leila Roy. A manager visited the site on Wednesday and a follow-up visit by the area manager is conducting another visit next week to inspect the area and fix any faults. We’re fighting to restore weekly Recycling uncollected on Savernake collections. But we’re also working to hold Road, thanks to missed bin collections the contractor Veolia to account and make sure they do their job properly: not miss collections or leave rubbish on the street. Camden’s Labour administration – which includes Gospel Oak’s three councillors – slashed bin collections for all of the area north of Mansfield Road in 2017. This shows the importance of a strong opposition to hold the administration councillors to account and mitigate the harm when their policies go wrong. As Camden’s official opposition, Camden Conservative councillors will stand up for all local residents to deliver a cleaner, Rubbish piling up on the corner of Savernake Road and Rona Road greener, safer borough.
