The yelling, singing, dancing multitude is a good indicator of how immensely successful the 2019 edition of Taste of was. The street festival beggars description. The sea of humanity that descended in Toronto's Little Manila became an ocean in no time. That's how it was during the weekend of August 17-18 when the 2019 fest, North America's largest Filipino event, took place.

A Royal Celebration of TFC’s 25th Anniversary by baby k. jimenez

TFC’s Gone Silver - that’s a quarter of a century in service to the Filipinos worldwide. ABS-CBN The Filipino Channel (TFC) celebrated its 25th anniversary via ASAP Bay Area as the show re- turned to where TFC started. It began as the “All -Sunday Afternoon Party” (thanks to who coined the title) in 1995 and is now the world’s largest touring Filipino show featur- ing an ensemble cast of the best live musical and dance performers. Held at the famous S.A.P. Center of San Jose (popularly known as home of the San Jose Sharks) last August 3, the Pinoy en- tertainment world’s conclave of titans once more rocked the world.

ASAP NATIN ITO started with a sensitive chord - “Ako ay Pilipino Isang bansa isang diwa…” led by Gary V, Martin Nievera, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Ogie and Regine, Piolo Pascual with the massive crowd reacting like a tidal wave. The Pinoy spirit was instantly felt and even for just one night, the ap- preciatve acolytes were back home!
