2017 Fall Semester: August 24th - December 21st

Welcome to Dance at the JCC! The Dance Department of the Jewish Community Center imparts the joy and discipline of dance through a well-rounded program of high caliber dance instruction, and has done so for 40 years. Classes in pre-ballet, ballet, jazz, tap, modern, hip hop, leaps & turns, and lyrical are offered in a variety of levels with emphasis on technique, musicality, body awareness and the development of self-expression through movement.

Classes are taught in a caring, positive atmosphere by a faculty of qualified, experienced instructors. Limited class enrollment ensures individual personalized attention. The JCC houses one of the finest dance facilities in the area with fully equipped studios, a 340-seat theater and live piano accompaniment for ballet classes.

In addition to classes, students may participate in a variety of special programs: choreographic workshops and performance opportunities with local and nationally recognized artists, field trips to area dance events, dance films and special lectures. The dance program is open to JCC members and non-members. JCC members receive discounted rates and other benefits. If you are interested in joining the JCC, please contact Member Services at (402) 334-6426.
