The monarchs of B-town lined up to shake hands with the royal couple at the event organized to raise funds for Childline India, Magic Bus and Door Step School. Among those who extended a warm welcome to the royal couple were Neetu and Rishi Kapoor, Madhuri and Dr. Sriram Nene, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor and daughter Sonam, Shiamak Davar, Alia Bhatt, Aditi Rao Hydari, Parineeti Chopra, Shilpa and Raj Kundra, Farhan Akhtar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Huma Qureshi, Anjali and Sachin Tendulkar. Most actors turned up in Manish Malhotra outfits, but the Duchess of Cambridge—who is known for her style—floored the biggest names of Bollywood, dressed in a blue evening gown by British fashion designer Jenny Packham with bead embroidery done in India and a pair of blue earrings from Indian brand Amrapali. When Prince William and Kate expressed their desire, through the British Embassy, to experience the famous Bollywood song and dance culture, singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan and eminent choreographer Shaimak Davar delivered exhilarating impromptu performances.
