OUTSIDE CIRCUS TENT MID DAY Adam is standing front of a banner of the circus wearing clown makeup talking to the audience. ADAM: (V.O.) There is an old joke. Two cannibals are eating a clown and one turns to the other and says, “Does this taste funny to you?” That’s how I feel about life, its just funny. I don’t mean it in the sense that it is always humorous, but also sometimes ironic. (SIGH) Sally left me last week for the cotton candy vendor. I don’t know what she even sees in that guy, honestly.
