ATFS Bulletin 1/2018
ATFS BULLETIN Association of Track and Field Statisticians 2/2018 - June 2018 PRESIDENT’S REPORT Dear All, The 2018 Annual has been published and mailed and should be in your possession shortly, if not already. Once again thanks to Jonas Hedman for doing all the mailing and of course to Peter Matthews for doing the hard work as he does each year. Thanks to all those who do contribute as well. We are very fortunate that the IAAF continue to purchase the bulk of the copies and we are very grateful to them. Work continues on the 1900 – 1920 project. We have had more people contributing with results from that era. It is time consuming for the continuous checking and dou- ble checking but our co-ordinator Tomas Magnusson continues to do a fantastic job. Work also continues on the 1940’s project by Richard Hymans and Pino Mappa. Please help if you have material to add. Thanks to those who responded to help with the world women’s rankings 1974 – 1978. Hopefully I can get started fairly soon as I gather material now that I have fin- ished work on the 2018 Commonwealth Games which went extremely well this year. Our secretary Michael plans on some updates to the website which he will expand upon. I have asked in the past and I will continue to do so. Could you please update your profiles and add a photo on our website. Winfried Kramer has published his National Athletic Records for all countries and he has also updated the finals results of recent World Championships and Olympic Games after a large number of drug suspensions. -
