Tuesday is game two of the second of four trips the Jethawks will make to LoanMart Field during the 2018 season. This 2018 2ND HALF STANDINGS series is the first time these clubs have met since the second week in June (6/5-6/7) prior to the All-Star break. All five Rancho runs came from the long ball and all nine runs were scored off of starting pitching. * First-Half Division Winner STREAK STUFF: The Quakes enter Tuesday on a franchise-record 14-game winning streak, putting their record at a season-best, 15 games over the .500 mark at 17-2 in the second half and 52-37 overall. The streak started on June 26th at Lake Elsinore with three CAL LEAGUE SCOREBOARD straight shut-out wins, a franchise-first. The Quakes went on to sweep consecutive five-games series, home against Inland Empire and Yesterday on the road in San Jose. Prior to this run, the longest winning streak of the year was five games. TROPHY CASE: The Quakes swept the California League weekly honors to open July as INF Omar Estevez and LHP Leo Crawford Today received Player and Pitcher of the Week nods respectively. Estevez batted .370 (10-for-27) over seven games, homering four times and Inland Empire at Lake Elsinore, 6:00 PM driving in ten. Crawford received the honors after tossing seven shutout innings and allowing just a single hit over a start on July 4th Modesto at Visalia, 7:00 PM in San Jose. This marks the first time in the Dodger era that the Quakes have swept the league's weekly awards. INF Nick Yarnall was placed on the Disabled List and OF Saige Jenco was activated from the DL. Tomorrow Inland Empire at Lake Elsinore, 6:00 PM FEAR THE MUSTACHE: Right-hander Tony Gonsolin is scheduled to make his 17th start and fourth against the JetHawks tonight. Modesto at Visalia, 7:00 PM In three starts versus Lancaster, Gonsolin has an 0-1 record and has given up eight earned runs, the most he has allowed against any Lancaster at Rancho Cucamonga, 7:05 PM team in 2018. His last outing at Lancaster was on June 6th, when he pitched five innings, giving up four runs in a loss. Gonsolin's San Jose at Stockton, 7:10 PM last trip to the mound was on June 29th, when he threw four innings, giving up four hits and two runs, one earned, in a no decision against Inland Empire. With today's start, Gonsolin will pass Dean Kremer for most starts and most innings pitched for the Quakes in 2018. Gonsolin was selected by the Dodgers in the ninth round of the 2016 draft out of Saint Mary's. OPPOSING PITCHER: Right-hander Brandon Gold toes the rubber tonight in his 18th start of the season for Lancaster and fourth 2018 QUAKES AT A GLANCE against the Quakes. Gold earned a win when he last faced Rancho on June 6th, throwing six innings for one-run ball while giving up 1st Half Record: 35-35 six hits. Over three previous starts, Gold has given up eleven runs, resulting in a 1-1 record with a no-decision. His last outing was on 2nd Half Record: 17-2 June 5th, when he pitched a six inning, two-run gem to earn the win against Modesto. Gold has given up the most earned runs out of vs Lancaster: 8-5 any JetHawks pitcher in 2018 (60). This is Gold's first full season with Lancaster after being called up the club mid-way through the vs LAN Home 3-1 2017 campaign from the Low-A Asheville Tourists. The Rockies drafted Gold in the 12th round of the 2016 draft out of Georgia Tech.
