The institute is continuously working for the Welfare of Women and Children in the contex Educational, Social, Cultural Development and Health improvement for the last 30 yea 1979. Our Treasurer Usha Sathe and Santa Bhat, Member of Woking Committee, visited youngster "Diabetic Association' and did counselling on the points of Marital and other issues. Smt. Kulkarni, Life member of our Institute has been teaching the art of reading Sanskrit 6Stotral proper Pronunciation for the last 12 years, since her retirement at Sangli. She received Bhushan' and Vishrambaug Bhushan' honours from the citizens of Sangli. Jayashri Vhatkar, our senior employee and Co- opted member of Managing Coma Passed CCIT Exam with good percentage of marks. Hear tiest congratulations to all the memb ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING Annual General Meeting of 2007-08 was conducted at Laxminarayan Nagar Office on 12th 2008. In the meeting, Members Pratima Joshi and Lalita Maratha retired by rotation as per they offered themselves for re-election and were duly elected, DESulabha Deuskar resigned fror post of President. Smt. Pratima Joshi was elected as President and Mrs. Rujuta Pitale was el( as Secretary. Pranoti Garge, Vandana Kelkar and Santa 13hat were also elected, Sister U Bhalerao was Co-opted as a member. We are attaching herewith List of Management Comm for the year 2008-09. HOMAGE PAID On 10th March 09 Dr. Kusumtai Ghanekar, Founder and President of Bhagini Nivedita Pratishl Sangli, passed away in Sangli due to old age. In her death the society has lost a very dedic worker who dedicated her whole life in the cause of woman and child welfare. She was a t source of Inspiration to all the members of Bhagini Nivedita Pratishthan.. By profession she WE Ayurved)c Physician and has, through research, developed a special tonic "Arnrutprash children's health on her name. Many children have benefitted by this in the workshop he Nagpur organised by NCED Mumbai. 2 research. She was very well known for her Ayurvedic remedies. She has taken lots of of forts for the development of normal housewives in bringing out their hidden talents and especially in developing leadership qualities in them. Her absence will always be felt by us. May her soul rest in peace. During this year we also lost our consultant, well wisher and President of C-COM Shri. Sharad Maratha and donor Smt. Ushatal Deuskar, Mumbai. The loss to our organization due to their death can never be overestimated. COMPUTER TRAINING COURSE Our Institute runs Computer Training Programmes for Needy Women and Girls continuously since 1992. These Courses are conducted at very affordable Fees and best education is given. Certificate courses like DTP, IT, Tally which comes under Elite are also conducted here. Mrs. Surekha Parande conducts these courses. There has always been a very good response for these courses. From the last few years Maharashtra Information Technology, Pune has given franchise for running CCIT Course. Dr. Sulabha Deuskar provides the required guidance to the Computer Teachers HELPER NURSE TRAINING COURSE This course is conducted twice in a year for the last 18 years. From this year the duration of the course has been increased to one year. This course is conducted at Pune Center. From this year the course will consist of 6 months training and 6 months internship in other hospitals. Those trainees who have discontinued their education due to some reason and are needy also, benefit from this course. They can earn their own living with the help of the skills acquired through this training. This year, some girls were from tribal area and economically backward classes. We had provided them lodging and boarding in our hostel free of cost. At present 37th course is in progress. Ms. Manjiri Satpute coordinates this training programme. Sister Bhalerao and Sister Shaikh shoulder the responsibility of practical training while Dr. Madhumati Kunte takes care of theory sessions. The Institute runs a nursing Bureau which provides services of attendants to needy elderly people or patients. Patients and their families are given guidance and counseling is also done as part of service from the Bureau.

The objectives of this study were to determine the completeness of pulse polio immunization round on 28th January 2018, to evaluate the reasons for non-compliance of the community towards the vaccination round, to assess the demographic profile amongst the unvaccinated children. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted among 570 children of zero-five years were checked in major areas of Pune that is Katraj Zoo, Swargate, Saras baug and a school in Dhankawadi.
