At present over 1600 students are studying in the Institute. The 10 Floor building of the Institute with around 90 Rooms, 55 Educational audiences with e-book boards are available in all audiences. Lecture rooms are equipped with 16 multimedia equipments. The Institute has indoor Canteen/Mess Facility One Indoor sports hall & 2 outdoor sports grounds. Tashkent Medical Academy is Recognized by WHO & International Students are eligible for MCI, PM&DC, ECFMG Certifications. Clinical Residency has around 28 Branches including Surgery, Pediatrics, Neurology etc. Education programs are conducted for bachelors in Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and Pharmacy. TASHKENT MEDICAL ACADEMY Urgench Branch, UZBEKISTAN Ministry of Health of The Republic of Uzbekistan About Urgench: Urgench is a city in western Uzbekistan It is the capital of the Khorezm Region. Khorezm, boasting very interesting and rich history, is one of the oldest Central Asian regions. The kingdom of Khorezm shahs was one of the world’s largest in the 11th - 12th centuries. The region is part of Uzbekistan today, and the city of Urgench is its administrative center. Urgench has direct flights from Tashkent, travel time being 1 hour and is also connected by Trains from Tashkent. Weather is cold in winters with average low temperature of -10 oC and summers average high temperatures being 35 oC. The the arrival of the Trans-Caspian railway at the end of the 19th century made it viable as an international trading post, however, and during the Soviet era the city was heavily industrialised. The Soviets introduced cotton, motifs of which dominate the city, adorning everything from apartment blocks to street lights and in the autumn months the city empties into the surrounding cotton fields and cotton harvests monopolize local news. This cash crop remains the mainstay of the local economy to the present day. Chronic viral hepatitis (CVH) is often accompanied by a variety of extrahepatic (systemic) manifestations, often coming to the fore in the clinical picture and, in some cases, determining the prognosis of the disease. Materials and methods. A cross-sectional study was conducted of 52 patients (mean age 38.54 ± 6.00 years) with a diagnosis of chronic viral hepatitis C (CVHS) who underwent initial consultation with a specialized course of outpatient treatment at the arthrology center (artSCAL) at the Tashkent Medical Academy (TMA) and received inpatient treatment in the departments of the clinic of the Research Institute of Epidemiology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Results. Among patients with cryoglobulinemia (CGE), the incidence of articular manifestation was 74.3%. According to liver elastography, the examined patients with CGE had signs of liver fibrosis of the 2nd and 3rd degrees, relative to the indices of the group without CGE, where degrees 1 and 2 of fibrosis were more often observed.

    TASHKENT MEDICAL ACADEMY 101 Years Old Government Medical Institute *Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan* Tashkent Medical Academy About Tashkent Medical Academy History of Tashkent Medical Academy dates back to 1919, when in April 13, 1919, it was decided to open a medical faculty of Turkestan State University. In 1931, the medical faculty was renamed into a medical institute called as Tashkent State Medical Institute. In 1935 the Tashkent Medical Institute was known as the Central Asian Medical Institute. The institute experienced consistent positive developmental changes and over a period of time emerged as a leading Medical Institute of Central Asia attracting large number of local and international students. By the end of 1980, the institute had 1,042 faculty members, including 6 academicians, 24 Uzbek doctors, 90 doctors of medical sciences, professors, 207 candidates of medical sciences, associate professors, students.During this period, the Institute improved the educational, educational, methodological, scientific, state and international relations. The Institute established cooperation with leading medical institutions in Hungary, Germany, Poland and Russia. First and Second Tashkent State Medical Institute By decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic in 1990, two medical institutes were established on the basis of the old and new buildings of Tashmi in Tashkent: the First Tashkent State Medical Institute and the Second Tashkent State Medical Institute.
