MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE LAW REVIEW VOLUME 23 FALL 2003 ISSUE 1 The College: Mississippi College is the oldest institution of higher learning in the state of Mississippi, chartered by the Legislature in 1826. The School of Law began as the Jackson School of Law in 1930, joining Mississippi College in 1975. The Law Review began shortly thereafter, with its first issue seeing publication in 1978. Since then the Law Review has become an invaluable aid for the judiciary, practitioners, pro- fessors, and students of law. It has been relied upon in reported cases over forty times, a num- ber which includes a host of Mississippi state appellate and district court cases and bankruptcy citations. SUBSCRIPTIONS: The Mississippi College Law Review is published by the Editorial Board and Staff of the Law Review. The Review is published twice annually.
