NPS Form 10-900-a OMB No. 1024-0018 (8-86) United States Department of the Interior National Park Service National Register of Historic Places Continuation Sheet Section 7 Page 1 Bullion Plaza School Gila County, Arizona Narrative Description Summary The Bullion Plaza School is a two-story, reinforced concrete school building located on the west end of the town of Miami, a modest-size community (population 2,018 in 1990) located in the mountains of central Arizona that has been associated with copper mining since its founding in the early 1900s. Built in 1923, this Neo-Classical Revival building was designed by the El Paso, Texas, architectural firm of Trost & Trost. It was used continuously as a school from 1923 until the spring of 1994, when it was closed out of concern that
