Santiago de Chile, año 2017 Resumen En la presente investigación para optar al grado de Doctor en Psicología, se buscó como objetivo comprender el modo en que las condiciones psíquico-institucionales de producción subjetiva organizan la violencia sexual presente en el caso Karadima. Hay denuncias de violencia sexual en la Parroquia del Sagrado Corazón durante al menos 20 años. Por consiguiente, se buscó comprender cómo ese contexto institucional en particular, ordenaba dinámicas de sometimiento y dominación a través de diferentes discursos, propiciando el control y la violencia sexual. La relevancia del estudio radica en que es una perspectiva nueva para pensar los casos de abuso sexual al interior de un contexto institucional. A través del análisis de diversos textos, producidos en relación al caso Karadima y orientados por algunas estrategias provenientes de las tradiciones discursivas y por el psicoanálisis, se trató de dar cuenta de cómo la institución organiza dinámicas de sufrimiento y en particular relaciones de violencia sexual. Se da cuenta de cómo el sujeto se encuentra descentrado en una institución y atravesado por distintas dimensiones propias del contexto institucional de la Parroquia. Se estudian las posiciones de enunciación, los procesos de subjetivación, los mecanismos intrínsecos de poder y los elementos totalitarios y de cooperación perversa presentes en el caso. Palabras Claves: Violencia Sexual – Institución – Iglesia ii Abstract In the present investigation to opt for the degree of Doctor in Psychology, the objective was to understand how the psychic-institutional conditions of subjective production organize the sexual violence present in the Karadima case. There have been allegations of sexual violence in Parroquia del Sagrado Corazón for at least 20 years. Therefore, we sought to understand how this particular institutional context, ordered dynamics of submission and domination through different discourses, promoting control and sexual violence. The relevance of the study is that it is a new perspective to think cases of sexual abuse within an institutional context. Through the analysis of various texts, produced in relation to the Karadima case and guided by some strategies derived from discursive traditions and by psychoanalysis, an attempt was made to explain how the institution organizes dynamics of suffering and, in particular, sexual violence. He realizes how the subject is decentered in an institution and crossed by different dimensions of the institutional context of the Parish. The positions of enunciation, the processes of subjectivation, the intrinsic mechanisms of power, and the totalitarian and perverse cooperation elements present in the case are studied. A la NEL por mi formación como psicoanalista. v La institución eclesial es tradicionalmente total o totalitaria en el sentido de Goffman. Total en el sentido de que la institución intenta conceptualizar la totalidad de la existencia de los fieles, integrando todas las actividades de este último en su control económico, político o ideológico: relaciones de dinero, vida profesional, posición de clase, actividad política, educación, relaciones sexuales. Es totalitaria en el sentido en que la institución pretende universalizar su perspectiva total, aplicándola a las masas y a los regímenes políticos diferentes, atravesando las diferencias de clase, raza, nacionalidad, sistema político o económico, reabsorbiendo imaginariamente las diferencias en la referencia al Cristo y en la obediencia al aparato romano, la Iglesia ya casi no obliga a la pertenencia por la fuerza del brazo secular, ni incluso por el peso de la tradición: ella no es pues totalitaria en el sentido de las instituciones totalitarias como el campo de concentración, la prisión, el hospital psiquiátrico, etc. Pero su poder se ejerce sin embargo, por vías institucionales, es decir, a la vez ideológicas y materiales, imaginarias y simbólicas. Se revisan los dos casos más relevantes del último tiempo en tanto sus demandas, examinando los caminos que ayudan a establecer la responsabilidad civil de la Iglesia, por el hecho propio y por el hecho de su dependiente. Se revisa jurisprudencia comparada, donde han ocurrido situaciones similares y se establece un actuar concordante de la Iglesia Católica en todos los lugares en que se vio involucrada en casos de abusos.   • We're in for a Rough Ride
    This document is a compilation of two articles which were published in The Tablet on 4th and 11th August 2018 respectively, under the titles “Homosexuality among the clergy: caught in a trap of dishonesty” and “The lying trap: why gay priests can be truthful about their sexuality”. Here they appear under the titles I gave them originally. We’re in for a rough ride Would it shock you to know that the leading force behind the term “gender ideology” and the campaign against it, was a gay cardinal? Or that a gay priest wrote the official 2005 explanation as to why gay men could not be priests? I learned of the (now dead) Latin American Cardinal’s reputation for violence towards the rentboys he frequented from a socialworker in his home town, and later discovered that this and other outrages were open secrets in both his homeland and Rome. Paris-based Mgr Tony Anatrella was a Vatican expert on homosexuality, one of very few authors the CDF recommended on the subject, alongside Drs Joseph Nicolosi, Gerard van den Aardweg and Aquilino Polaino, gay-cure proponents all. Anatrella had long been reported to have engaged in inappropriate touching with seminarians and others who came to him for help in dealing with their so-called “same-sex attraction”. As recently as this last June, and after many years of shameful ecclesiastical obfuscation in France and Italy, those reports have been found to be credible, and Anatrella has been suspended from public ministry. If it does shock you that such public paragons of homophobia-dressed-as-Christianity might have been “protesting too much”, then prepare yourself for a rough ride over the next few years.
