Résumé : Les études de phylogénie moléculaire sur les Lépidoptères Rhopalocères et Zygènes sont de plus en plus nombreuses ces dernières années modifiant la systématique et la taxinomie de ces deux groupes. Une mise à jour complète est réalisée dans ce travail. Un cadre décisionnel a été élaboré pour les niveaux spécifiques et infra-spécifique avec une approche intégrative de la taxinomie. Ce cadre intégre notamment un aspect biogéographique en tenant compte des zones-refuges potentielles pour les espèces au cours du dernier maximum glaciaire. Cette démarche permet d’avoir une approche homogène pour le classement des taxa aux niveaux spécifiques et infra-spécifiques. Les conséquences pour l’acquisition des données dans le cadre d’un inventaire national sont développées. Summary : Studies on molecular phylogenies of Butterflies and Burnets have been increasingly frequent in the recent years, changing the systematics and taxonomy of these two groups. Abstract Cancer is a major cause of death worldwide and causes serious problems in human life. It is developed by uncontrolled growth of a cell or a group of cells. There are many difficulties in treatment of cancer and many researchers are involved in investigating for effective drugs to treat the disease. Caryophyllaceae is a large family of about 86 genera and 2200 herbaceous or subshrub species. The family is known for its ornamental plants and saponin compounds. In the present study, the potential cytotoxic activity of 17 selected species from Caryophyllaceae has been investigated against MCF-7, HepG-2, A-549, HT-29 and MDBK cells using MTT assay. Five species exhibited cytotoxic effects with IC50 values < 100 μg/mL. Silene ampullata and Acanthophyllum bracteatum extracts were toxic only against MCF-7 cell line suggesting them as suitable candidates for more investigations of breast cancer studies. Introduction: In Russia, grows about 20 species of Eryngium, in the Caucasus - 8 species. Materials and Methods: The subjects of the study were two species: Eryngium caucasicum Trautv. and Eryngium planum L. The main methods of research: field, observation, mathematical. Results: The seedlings appear on the 14-16th day. In the first year of vegetation, a rosette of leaves is formed. In September, the rosettes of leaves have a diameter of 35-39 cm. Plants of the second year of vegetation pass through all phases of development: Eryngium caucasicum Trautv. - for 180 days, Eryngium planum L. - for 160 days. Conclusion: Seeds should be sown in late autumn (late October - early Shcherbakova Ekaterina November) or early spring (late February - beginning of March). Seeds are sown to a depth of Aleksandrovna, Eliseeva 1-2 cm, between rows - 50-60 cm. Care of plants requires weeding from weeds and watering. The Eryngium genus, of the Apiaceae family, includes plants characterized by morphological attributes that give them, in many situations, the status of decorative plants. Relatively modest ecological requirements and fairly good resistance to less favourable crop conditions (sunstroke, water deficit, poor soils and salinity etc.) contribute to the interest in these plants. This paper aims to highlight the possibilities of using for five Eryngium taxa (E. alpinum 'Superbum', E. planum 'Blue Sea Holly', E. planum 'Blue Hobbit', E. leavenworthii) with ornamental qualities, cultivated in the conditions of Iaşi, with a view to their promotion and superior exploitation in floral art and landscaping. Key words: Eryngium, morphology, ecology, ornamental value Rezumat. Genul Eryngium, din familia Apiaceae, cuprinde plante caracterizate prin însuşiri morfologice care le conferă, în multe situaţii, şi statutul de plante decorative. Cerinţele ecologice relativ modeste şi rezistenţa destul de bună la condiţii de cultură mai puţin favorabile altor specii (insolaţie, deficit de apă, soluri sărace şi cu salinitate crescută etc.) contribuie la creşterea interesului pentru aceste plante. Lucrarea de faţă îşi propune să evidenţieze posibilităţile de utilizare a cinci taxoni de Eryngium (E. alpinum ‘Superbum’, E. planum ‘Blue Sea Holly’, E. planum 'Blue Hobbit', E. leavenworthii) cu calităţi ornamentale, cultivaţi în condiţiile de la Iaşi, în vederea promovării şi valorificării superioare a acestora în arta florală şi în amenajări peisagistice.

Several studies attempted to pinpoint principles to explain the assembly rules of local communities and disentangle the coexistence mechanisms that ensure the persistence of a high species richness. In this study we examined the influence of pollination interactions on the assemblage of dry grassland communities and in the maintenance of the biodiversity they host. The issue has been addressed from many different perspectives. We found that similarly to habitat filtering and interspecific interactions for abiotic resources, in dry grassland communities interactions for pollination contribute to influence plant species assemblage. We found entomophilous species flowering synchrony to be a key characteristic, which may favour the long lasting maintenance of rare species populations within the community.

    Relative Ranking of Ornamental Flower Plants to Foraging Honey Bees (With Notes on Favorability to Bumble Bees) Whitney Cranshaw Colorado State University Observations were made during the 2007-2009 growing seasons on the relative attractiveness of various flowering ornamental plants to honey bees (Apis mellifera). This information was collected so that honey bee favorability - or lack of favorability - may be considered in plant selection. The study was conducted by repeated visits to public garden plantings in Larimer, Denver, Adams, and Cheyenne counties. Gardens were chosen that had large mass plantings of numerous flowering plants so that comparisons could be made and included the Denver Botanic Garden, gardens at Colorado State University (PERC, Flower Demonstration Planting), Welby Gardens, and Cheyenne Botanic Garden. These sites also were chosen because plantings had identification labeling. Plantings were visited between 2 and 12 times between mid-June and mid-September. Evaluations were made by examining plants that were in flower for the presence of honey bees. A planting was then given a relative ranking based on honey bee numbers. A 0-3 scale was used: 3 - Heavily visited by foraging honey bees 2 - Moderately visited by honey bees and foraged 1 - Honey bees seen occasionally visiting flowers 0 - Honey bees do not forage at these flowers Data were collected from a total of 319 different plant entries durig this study. Variation in rankings between dates did occur; where this occurred from multiple ratings the final ranking was rounded up to a whole number. Numerous other bees and other insects were commonly seen on many plants.
