    OHIO HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL COACHES ASSOCIATION Dear OHSBCA Member, 1/20/11 Welcome to the 2011 OHSBCA State Coaches Clinic: “America’s Game”. The Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association has become the 2nd largest high school coaches’ association in the country. Coaches, national speakers, and vendors from all over the country feel that the Ohio High School Coaches Association Clinic is one of the best in the entire country. One of my favorite quotes comes from one of this year’s clinicians; John Cohen from Mississippi St. John speaks all over the country at not only big national conventions, but small ones too. He said, “Looking forward to seeing you at the clinic. You guys are first class and run an incredible clinic.” My hope is that you will feel the same after this weekend. I would also like to take time to welcome you to the Hyatt Regency, “Downtown Columbus”, and our home for the next few days. What an outstanding and first-class setting for one of the premiere high school coaches’ clinics. Please feel free to let any of the OHSBCA Board members or I know if we can personally help or assist you in any way this weekend while here at the clinic, or throughout the year. We, the board, wish to be the best representation of all our members’ coaches and their concerns. This weekend’s lineup consists of great speakers from all over the country.     Northeast Ohio Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame Biographies Class of 2008 Curt Kapinski – Elyria High School Curt is a 1968 graduate of Keystone HS and a 1972 graduate of Baldwin Wallace College where he earned 4 varsity baseball letters, All-District honors, national rankings as a collegiant pitcher, and a place in BW's College Hall of Fame. Curt signed as a free agent with the Cleveland Indians. After 2 1/2 years in the Indian's minor league system, both his arm and professional career ended. Curt began his teaching/coaching career in 1974 as the JV coach at Elyria. In 1979, he became the assistant coach at Oberlin College and then the head coach in 1984. He returned to Elyria and became their head coach in 1988-2004. In his 17 seasons in leading the Pioneers, his teams posted a 236- 148 record with 6 league championships, 5 district appearances, 3 Regional tourneys and a trip to the Final 4. Curt helped form the Lorain County Baseball Coaches Association and served as its treasurer for 16 years. In 1997, he help in the creation of the Northeast Ohio Baseball Coaches Association, and was its Executive Director from 1998-2004. In 1997, Curt became the OHSBCA state poll director. He is married to Becky and has two sons, Chris and Dave and two stepsons, Tim and Andy. Mike Ryan – Perry High School Mike began teaching at Perry H.S. in Lake County in 1979. After graduating from Olmsted Falls H.S. in 1974, Mike continued his baseball career at Kent State University.

III and Canal semifinals of the 2016 OHSAA football playoffs. Whether they are Winchester Harvest Prep in Div. VII). one of the four schools in the state semifinals for the first time, or the one school that is back for a state-record 25th time, they are all In addition, 31 undefeated teams entered the playoffs.
