HOCKEY EAST BY THE NUMBERS • Hockey East teams have won 13 National Championships, including nine during the league’s 33-year history. In those 33 seasons, Hockey East has sent 109 teams to the NCAA Tournament, more than any other conference, and 43 Teams to the Frozen Four. • In the last 12 years, the league has sent 46 teams to the NCAA Tournament, 15 to the Frozen Four, and eight to the championship game, where five won the NCAA title. • 10 players from Hockey East have been named Most Outstanding Player at the Frozen Four. 65 conference skaters have been named to the Frozen Four All-Tour- nament Team. • Hockey East boasts nine Hobey Baker Award winners, 76 Top-10 Finalists and 15 Hat Trick finalists, including 12 over just the last eight seasons. • 39 Hockey East alumni have represented Team USA on the U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team in eight Olympic Winter Games. 11 of those 39 have captured a silver medal. • 20 alumni of Hockey East schools are now college head coaches, and 34 others are assistants at the men’s Division-I level. • 624 Hockey East players have been selected in the NHL Entry Draft, including 45 in the first round. • 83 Hockey East alums played in the NHL during the 2016-17 season, including six starting goalies. • 50 league alumni have been members of Stanley Cup winning teams, and two have won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP. Most recently, Nick Bonino (BU), Brian Dumoulin (BC), Ron Hainsey (UML), Chad Ruhwedel (UML), Bryan Rust (ND), Conor Sheary (UMass), Scott Wilson (UML) captured the Cup with the 2017 Pittsburgh Penguins..
