ABSTRACT The availability of processing systems of GPS data, online and free, has increased in the last years. Using this method, work units were considered as the main unit of desertification and a map was generated for each index according to assigned weights, such that the qualitative map of the desired criteria were obtained using the geometric mean of indicators. Then, through integration and determining the geometric mean of layers obtained from criteria and finally classification of the obtained maps, map of the current status of desertification in the studied area was prepared. The obtained results indicated that 31.67% of the area was in the medium class of desertification (II) and 68.33% belonged to the intense class (III).

The image of the destination is one of the components that has a great impact on the tourist's decision and the behavioral consequences of his trip. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of cultural events and mental conflict on the image and the intention to visit the destination among tourists in Sarab-e Meymeh. The statistical population of this study consisted of tourists in Sarab-e Meymeh township of Dehloran City in the spring of 1398, which due to the unknown of the number of tourists in the region, the sample size was selected 385 people, which is the highest sample size. The present study is operational in terms of purpose and with a survey nature of correlation is based on structural equations.

Anthroponotic and zoonotic CL are two epidemiological forms of CL, in Iran. Although Ilam Province in the west of Iran is one of the main endemic areas of the disease, there is no inclusive study to determine the genetic variations of parasite in these areas. The objective of this study was to determine the genetic diversity of Leishmania species in Ilam Province, using mini-circle kDNA gene. Materials and Methods: Direct smears were taken from skin lesions of 200 suspected cases of CL. Smears were stained, screened under light microscope. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was performed, using specific kinetoplast DNA primers. Data were analyzed, using the molecular bio-software. Results: All the samples were positive by direct examination. PCR results showed all cases were positive for Leishmania major. Although all isolated cases belong to a different county of Ilam province, all were positive for L. major with intra-species genetic diversity, divided into four clades in the dendrogram.

Methods, This study was conducted from February 2015 to November 2018 in Dehloran, Ilam province, Iran. Patients with certain symptoms such as pain were selected and referred to the lab. The samples were collected and investigated by Wright test. Results, Brucellosis in Dehloran is an occupational disease with most cases occurring in livestock breeders followed by housewives. Most cases are due to the consumption of dairy products such as milk. Conclusion, In general, it can be argued that in spite of the high incidence of the disease in this region, adequate attention has not yet been paid to it.

This study examines the urban hierarchy and evaluates the network system of the urban of Ilam province during 1996 to 2011. Research methodology descriptive – analytic and utilizes census data of 1996 up to 2011. The results of the research show that the Ilam city, as the first city in this hierarchy from the second city of Dehloran approximately 4-5 times was bigger. In total, the urban hierarchy in Ilam province has unbalanced and absolutely structured and Ilam city as the first city glaring in the urban network of the province, and this is has been proven based on various formulas of examine the Primate City such as Gini coefficient, deviation coefficient, Lorenz curve and order-size model the adjustment. Bayesian ones are the most important models in this field. They consider prior information on changes in the disease rates in overall map and spatial pattern of the disease. These include a broad range of models with their own formulation, characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses. In the present study, we explain and compare three important and widely‑used Bayesian models in the study of evaluating relative risk of suicide in Ilam province. Materials and Methods: In this applied‑ecological research, suicide incidence in Ilam province in 2008 and 2009 was analyzed by use of Gamma‑Poisson, Log‑normal, and BYM Bayesian models. Models were fitted to data using WinBUGS software. Results: Fitting the three models showed that Darehshahr and Shirvan‑Chrdavol had the highest and the lowest relative risk of suicide, respectively (relative risks based on Gamma‑Poisson, Log‑normal, and BYM models were 2.243, 2.275, and 2.279 for Dareshahr and 0.321, 0.321, and 0.319 for Shirvan‑Chrdavol, respectively).

The knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) on disease has not been studied in this area. This survey was carried out among 423 residents of 5 villages involved by disease. The study was a cross-sectional analytical survey. A questioner with 30 questions was prepared to evaluate the knowledge, attitude and practice of the respondents about cutaneous leishmaniasis. Altogether, 405 (95.7%) of respondents completed the questioners. One hundred and eighty (44.4%) of them were men and the rest (55.6%) were women. The mean ± SD age of the cases were equal to 23.81 ± 14.83 years old. Only 47.9% of the population studied were aware about the disease. Less than 40% of the cases revealed that, sand fly is the vector of the disease. Almost, 47% of them had used drugs, insecticide sprays, repellents and bed net to protect themselves. Chi-square test indicated a significant difference between age and awareness about the disease (p<0.0001).
