It was reported that some main streets in Al Hudaydah City were declared closed military zones such as Sana’a street. UNHCR conducted needs assessment in As Sukhnah and Al Munirah districts and found 1,544 families in need for NFIs (Non-Food Items) and 1,067 families in need for EESKs (Enhanced Emergency Shelter Kits) in As Sukhnah district also 578 families in need for NFIs and 68 families in need for EESKs in Al Munirah district. The Shelter/NFI/CCCM Cluster Partner RAFD (Rawabi AlNahdah Developmental Founda�on) received 720 NFIs Kits without ma�resses and 602 family tent in Zabid district donated by DFID and transported by IOM. In Sana’a hub, the response in the transit sit and IDPs hos�ng sites in Amanat Al Asimah is progressing with 286 families have been accommodated in 6 IDPs hos�ng sites. 10 dedicated teams were iden�fied to assess the newly displaced families who choose not to stay in schools due to availability of other shelter op�ons (rent, host family, etc.). In Aden hub, the security situa�on remain unstable with the con�nua�on of assassina�on a�empts towards military targets in addi�on to an a�ack against IDPs in Ash Shaikh Outhman district by unknown person who threw a grenade into the basement where the IDPs were hosted and it resulted in the killing of two IDPs and the injury of five others as reported in some media reports. During the repor�ng period, over 262 newly displaced families arrived in Aden and an addi�onal 284 families sought safety in Lahj. The new waves of displacement over stretched humanitarian agencies capacity to respond in �mely manner as IDPs are sca�ered in different loca�ons within an area of over 1,000 kilometers. Partners reported that the newly displaced families are in need for emergency shelter and NFIs assistance. Respone In AlHudyadah hub, UNHCR through JAAHD (Jeel Albena Associa�on for Humanitar- Displacement Response ian Development) completed the distribu�on of NFIs to 1,234 families and EESKs to 29,026 438 families in Al Mansuriyah district also NFIs were provided to 1,598 families and Al Hudaydah Hub EESKs to 965 families in Ad Durayhimi district. The distribu�ons targeted the most 10,669 vulnerable newly displaced families and these kits prevented some down and out families from resor�ng to nega�ve coping strategies that would destroy their family 2,640 fabric. Ibb Hub 180 In Sana’a hub, UNHCR through ADRA distributed NFIs to 405 IDP families in Amanat Al Asimah including the families who were accommodated in pre-iden�fied IDPs 3,723 Aden Hub hos�ng sites. Further 15 families were hosted and assisted with NFIs in Abu baker 1,645 Transit Site. ADRA completed the maintenance of 4 IDPs hos�ng sites (schools) already accommoda�ng IDPs and 6 others that were prepared to host new families. 21,917 The families are very vulnerable and do not have other shelter op�ons. These Sana'a Hub families were provided with a temporary shelter un�l longer-term solu�on is found. 1,021 In Aden hub, Tawasul Founda�on completed the distribu�on of NFIs to 313 IDP families in Al Khawkhah district with funds from Kuwai� Relief Commi�ee. UNHCR through INTERSOS provided 149 families with cash for rental subsidies in Aden, Lahj and south Taizz. The cash assistance provided the families with the op�on of staying longer in their preferred shelter op�on and protect them from the indignity of being evicted with their families.
