Stephen Gaynor School – Making a Difference, One Child at a Time

Dear Friend,

A pioneer in special education, Stephen Gaynor School is an independent Pre-K, Lower, and Middle School for bright students with learning differences. Founded in 1962, Stephen Gaynor School provides a highly individualized educational program in a rich, rigorous, and nurturing environment in which students gain the skills and conidence necessary to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Through our annual event, the Gaynor Gala, we are able to raise funds to enhance our students’ learning experience, helping them reach their full potential.

We are excited to invite you to participate in our annual Gaynor Gala. The unique spirit and energy which led to the establishment of Stephen Gaynor School continues to drive it today and is celebrated each year with the Founders' Award. This award is given to a member(s) of the Gaynor community whose energy and dedication to the school is exemplary.

THIS YEAR’S RECIPIENT IS STEPHEN GAYNOR SCHOOL PARENT: JENNIFER RUDOLPH WALSH Board Member at WME, oversees the Literary, Lectures, and Live Events departments

The 2015 Gaynor Gala will be held on the evening of Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the American Museum of Natural History. The event will feature live and silent auctions, a cocktail hour, dinner, and an exciting musical performance. Previous celebrity guests have included: MS. , Grammy Award winning Musician; MARY J. BLIGE, nine-time Grammy Award winning Singer/Songwriter, Recording Producer, and Actress; Host of NBC’s Late Night, SETH MEYERS; Tony, Emmy, and Grammy Award winner BERNADETTE PETERS; JON STEWART of The Daily Show with ]on Stewart; Grammy Award-winner JOHN LEGEND; former TV Host, REGIS PHILBIN; NBC Today Show's AL ROKER; Sire/Warner Bros. Recording Artist REGINA SPEKTOR; Actress BROOKE SHIELDS; Winner ; and Celebrity Chef RACHAEL RAY.

Your Support is Critical Funds raised from the Gaynor Gala support the remaining phases of construction in our new, state-of-the-art facility, including a performing arts center, rooftop ield house, S.M.A.R.T. Lab (science, math, art, research, and technology lab), and additional state-of-the-art classrooms and science labs. Your support enables us to broaden the educational experience we offer our students, helping build their self-conidence along the way.
