Ava Acosta, Mimi Castilleja, Monika Paugh, Hailey Daylight, Mea- gan Rooney, and Kandace Rogers competed in the FCCLA Star Events. Ava won in New Member facts and will be moving on to regionals. Mimi took second in creed speaking, Monika placed third in Job Interview, Kandace Rogers was third in Recycle and Redesign, and Hailey Daylight and Meagan Rooney placed second in Life Event planning. The ladies were all very nervous, but did a good job.

The Tigers played the Pawhuska Huskies for thethe firstfirst gamegame ofof thethe playoffs.playoffs. TheThe TigersTigers tri-tri- umphed over the Huskies 16-13, making theirtheir recordrecord 1010–1. Not satisfied with there progress, the Tigers worked hard for the next week against Meeker High school and came away with a win. Unfortunately, the season ended with a defeat when they traveled to Frederick, but it was still a great year for the Tigers.

Our CHS band swept first place in all parades and “Best over All” in the Commerce. Christmas Parade. They marched in the Quapaw, Commerce, and Miami parades on December 1, 2013. They did an outstanding job!
