(01 JULAI 2021) 1. LAPORAN HARIAN A. Kes Baharu COVID-19 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 182/2021 JAWATANKUASA PENGURUSAN BENCANA NEGERI SARAWAK KENYATAAN MEDIA (01 JULAI 2021) 1. LAPORAN HARIAN A. Kes Baharu COVID-19. Hari ini terdapat 544 kes baharu COVID-19 dikesan. Sejumlah 338 atau 62.13 peratus daripada jumlah kes ini telah dikesan di lima (5) buah daerah iaitu di Daerah Kuching, Tebedu, Sibu, Bintulu dan Miri. Daerah-daerah yang merekodkan kes pada hari ini ialah daerah Kuching (118), Tebedu (63), Sibu (58), Bintulu (56), Miri (43), Song (41), Telang Usan (21), Serian (17), Bau (15), Kanowit (15), Samarahan (15), Marudi (11), Kapit (11), Subis (10), Sri Aman (7), Tatau (6), Tanjung Manis (6), Mukah (5), Asajaya (4), Simunjan (3), Meradong (3), Saratok (3), Lundu (2), Sarikei (2), Bukit Mabong (2), Sebauh (2), Belaga (1), Matu (1), Lawas (1), Julau (1) dan Betong (1). Ini menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan kes meningkat kepada 65,395. 1 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 182/2021 Daripada 544 kes baharu yang dilaporkan, seramai 74 orang telah menunjukkan tanda dan mengalami gejala jangkitan COVID-19 semasa saringan dijalankan. Manakala, seramai 464 orang kes atau yang dikesan adalah terdiri daripada individu yang telah diberikan arahan perintah kuarantin. Secara ringkas kes-kes ini terdiri daripada: • 334 kes merupakan saringan individu yang mempunyai kontak kepada kes positif COVID-19 (43 kes bergejala); • 125 kes merupakan saringan individu dalam kluster aktif sedia ada (kes tidak bergejala); • 52 kes merupakan lain-lain saringan di fasiliti kesihatan (3 kes bergejala); • 28 kes merupakan saringan individu bergejala di fasiliti kesihatan; • 3 kes melibatkan individu yang balik dari negeri-negeri lain di dalam Malaysia (Import B) (kes tidak bergejala); • 2 kes melibatkan individu yang balik dari luar negara (Import A) iaitu dari Indonesia (kes tidak bergejala). 2 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 182/2021 B. Kes Kematian Covid-19 Baharu. Hari ini terdapat empat (4) kes kematian baharu melibatkan jangkitan COVID-19 dilaporkan. Ini menjadikan jumlah kematian akibat jangkitan COVID-19 telah bertambah kepada seramai 413 orang. Status Kes COVID-19 Di Dalam Wad Hospital Dan Masih Di PKRC. Hari ini terdapat 494 kes baharu yang telah pulih dan dibenarkan discaj pada hari ini iaitu: • 139 kes dari Hospital Sibu dan PKRC di di bawah Hospital Sibu; • 91 kes dari Hospital Umum Sarawak dan PKRC di bawah Hospital Umum Sarawak; • 72 kes dari Hospital Miri dan PKRC di bawah Hospital Miri; • 72 kes dari Hospital Sarikei dan PKRC di bawah Hospital Sarikei; • 27 kes dari PKRC Betong; • 25 kes dari Hospital Bintulu dan PKRC di bawah Hospital Bintulu; • 21 kes dari Hospital Sri Aman dan PKRC Sri Aman; • 17 kes dari PKRC Serian; • 16 kes dari Hospital Kapit dan PKRC di bawah Hospital Kapit; • 13 kes dari PKRC Mukah; dan • 1 kes dari PKRC Lawas. Ini menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan kes positif COVID-19 yang telah pulih atau dibenarkan discaj setakat hari ini adalah seramai 54,678 orang. 4 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 182/2021 D. Kluster Baharu [Satu (1) Baharu]. Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Sarawak telah mengisytiharkan satu (1) kluster baharu iaitu Kluster Lorong 3 Kampung Siol Kandis, Kuching. Ringkasan kluster tersebut adalah seperti berikut: I. Kluster Lorong 3 Kampung Siol Kandis, Kuching Kluster Lorong 3 Kampung Siol Kandis merupakan satu kluster komuniti yang dikesan melibatkan beberapa buah keluarga di Lorong 3, Kampung Siol Kandis, Petra Jaya, Kuching. Perebakan jangkitan berlaku melalui upacara pengebumian dan sembahyang kematian pada 02 Jun hingga 04 Jun 2021 dan pada 12 Jun 2021 serta pergerakan sosial dan kontak rapat dalam kalangan individu dan keluarga individu yang telah menghadiri upacara tersebut. Sejumlah 123 individu telah disaring di mana: • 45 kes telah dikesan positif COVID-19 termasuk kes indeks; dan • 78 kes didapati negatif. Kesemua kes positif COVID-19 ini telah dimasukkan ke Hospital Umum Sarawak dan PKRC di daerah Kuching bagi tujuan pengasingan dan rawatan lanjut. 5 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 182/2021 E. Kluster Tamat [Satu (1) Kluster Tamat]. Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Sarawak telah mengisytiharkan satu (1) kluster tamat iaitu Kluster Jalan Haji Lampam, Miri setelah tiada kes baharu dikesan atau dilaporkan dalam tempoh 28 hari melibatkan kluster ini. F. Kluster Yang Masih Aktif. Jumlah kluster yang masih aktif adalah sebanyak 95 kluster. Sebanyak 16 kluster aktif yang telah merekodkan 125 penambahan kes baharu manakala 79 kluster tidak merekodkan penambahan kes. G. Ringkasan Kes Mengikut Daerah Di Sarawak. Hari ini, daerah Matu telah kembali ke status Jingga daripada status Merah setelah merekodkan hanya 23 kes jangkitan tempatan dalam tempoh 14 hari yang lepas. Ini menjadikan jumlah daerah berstatus Jingga telah meningkat kepada tiga (3) daerah dan jumlah daerah berstatus Merah telah berkurang kepada 28 daerah. Manakala, lapan (8) daerah kekal berstatus Kuning dan satu daerah kekal berstatus Hijau. 6 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 182/2021 2. LAPORAN NOTIS KOMPAUN Pihak PDRM telah mengeluarkan sebanyak 41 kompaun di daerah Kuching (23), Padawan (6), Miri (3), Lawas (3), Bintulu (2), Kota Samarahan (2), Simunjan (1) dan Bau (1) kerana telah melanggar SOP seperti berikut: i. Penumpang melebihi had yang dibenarkan (11) ii. Tiada penjarakan fizikal (8) iii. Memancing di tempat awam (5) iv. Gagal mengimbas MySejahtera (4) v. Tidak memakai pelitup muka (3) vi. Membuka premis yang tidak dibenarkan (3) vii. Berada di tempat awam selepas jam 12.00 pagi (3) viii. Dine-In (2) ix. Makan di kaki lima restoren (1) x. Tiada permit rentas daerah (1) Ini menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan kompaun yang telah dikeluarkan sejak 18 Mac 2020 hingga hari ini sebanyak 8,563 kompaun. 7 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 182/2021 Manakala, pihak Kementerian Kerajaan Tempatan dan Perumahan Sarawak pula telah mengeluarkan lapan (8) kompaun di bawah seliaan MD Maradong & Julau (5), MP Kota Samarahan (1), MD Sri Aman (1) dan MD Lubok Antu (1) atas kesalahan melanggar SOP seperti berikut: i. Tiada penjarakan fizikal (4) ii. Tidak mengemaskini buku daftar/buku daftar tidak lengkap (3) iii. Memancing bukan untuk tujuan mencari rezeki (1) Ini menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan kompaun yang telah dikeluarkan oleh PBT sejak 01 Februari 2021 hingga hari ini adalah sebanyak 1,202 kompaun. 8 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 182/2021 3. Over the last decade or so, the Sarawak government has been promoting vari- ous kinds of development schemes in rural areas, and the indigenous people, who are politically and economically marginalized, seem to act in compliance with the government policy for the purpose of securing development funds. Some scholars have criticized this kind of passive com- pliance as a “subsidy syndrome.” However, closer observation of the voting behavior of the indigenous people reveals that they strive to maximize their own interests, albeit within a limited range of choices. What is noteworthy is the important role played by rural-urban migrants in rural development. They frequently move back and forth between urban and rural areas, are leaders in the formation of opinion among rural residents, and help obtain development resources for their home villages. Examining the mobility of urban migrants during election periods is useful for reconsidering the dichotomy between development politics and the vulnerable agricul- tural community, and also urban-rural relations.     Lighting Up Rural Sarawak In 2009, the overall state domestic coverage was 79% with rural population electricity coverage at only 56%. Today, the rural population electricity coverage is about 90%, increasing the overall coverage to about 95%. This rapid growth was made possible due to the concerted effort, cooperation and commitment to provide electricity to all Sarawakians by the relevant agencies. The Ministry of Utilities Sarawak (MoU), in collaboration with Sarawak Energy, is aiming to connect more than 30,000 remaining rural households towards achieving full electrification by 2025. Almost half of Sarawak’s population is rural-based, living in townships, bazaars, villages and longhouses spread across the state’s vast geographical landscape, winding rivers, dense rainforests and rugged terrain. The State Government’s vision is to ensure all rural communities including the most remote and inaccessible upriver communities are connected to constant 24-hour electricity supply. The focus of rural electrification is to extend the grid to reachable areas while standalone Sarawak’s vast geographical landscape includes winding rivers, dense rainforests and rugged terrain systems employing alternative electricity sources are used for regions too remote for grid connection so communities can do away with expensive and noisy diesel generators. Rural electrification in Malaysia began to accelerate in 2009 when it was made a National Key Result Area (NKRA) by the Federal Government. In Sarawak, RM3.5bil has been spent under the Rural Electrification Scheme (RES) to electrify approximately 102,000 households up to 2016 and 110,000 households in about 4,000 scattered villages as of September 2017.     Adenan hits campaign trail running, Najib goes to hinterland MalaysiaKini.com Apr 29 th , 2016 Adrian Wong and Lu Wei Hoong S'WAK POLLS As much as scandal-ridden Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak wants to secure BN victory in Sarawak, he is rarely seen campaigning in urban constituencies where the voters are more familiar with political development. This is the total opposite of the campaign trail of Sarawak BN chairperson Adenan Satem, a popular figure and super campaigner who has been making his rounds at all these constituencies. Riding on the ‘Adenan factor’, the caretaker chief minister has been going all out fishing for votes for BN candidates and BN direct candidates. Meanwhile, Najib, who has visited the Borneo state more than 50 times since he assumed premiership, mainly focused on bumiputera-majority and rural constituencies. His itinerary avoided urban seats, particularly Chinese-majority constituencies. The opposition has been maximising on the goods and services tax (GST) and Najib's scandals as campaign fodder, as these issues are being discussed by voters in the urban areas. In his attempt to capture a major vote bank, Adenan attended events organised by the big-six timber companies in the state before nomination day. At one event, he even reportedly warned the employees to choose between their rice bowl or vote for the opposition. 'Super weekend' trail Adenan, who appeared in the southern part of Sarawak after nomination day, is planning to spend the next two days – also called ‘super weekend’ – campaigning in the central and northern regions where SUPP had suffered huge losses to the opposition in previous elections.
