Back Up User Data!

User data may be lost during the course of the procedure. Refer to “Data Backup and Restore Operations” (p. 14) in the Service Notes and save the data. After completing the procedure, restore the backed-up data to the product.

Part Replacement

When replacing components near the power-supply circuit or a heat- generating circuit (such as a circuit provided with a heat sink or including a cement resistor), carry out the procedure according to the instructions with respect to the part number, direction, and attachment position (mounting so as to leave an air gap between the component and the circuit board, etc.).

Parts List

Circuit Diagram

In the circuit diagram, “NIU” is an abbreviation for “Not in Use,” and “UnPop” is an abbreviation for “Unpopulated.” They both mean non-mounted components. The circuit board and circuit board diagram show silk-screened indications, but no components are mounted.

Assembling the USB Box

1. Connect Wiring W4 (#5100017066) to the Host Board Assy (#5100018208). 5. Secure Wiring W4 to the tab on the USB Box Case. fig.assemble-1.eps fig.assemble-6.eps

2. Assemble the Host Board Assy to the USB Box Cover (#5100018069), and secure in place using Screw 3 x 8 Binding Taptite P FE ZC (#40011278). 6. Engage Wiring W4 on the hooks on the USB Box Case and adjust the fig.assemble-2.eps shape. fig.assemble-7.eps

7. After winding, check to ensure that Wiring W4 will not come loose from the tab. fig.assemble-8.eps

3. Secure Wiring W4 in place using a cable tie, and fit it securely into the USB Box Cover. fig.assemble-4.eps

4. Fit the USB Box Cover into the USB Box Case (#5100018068). After pressing in downward, press in at an angle, then fit the protrusion on the USB Box Cover into the hole in the USB Box Case. fig.assemble-5.eps

Performing a Factory Reset Updating the System

* Executing a factory reset causes all user settings except user patches and pedal- sensitivity settings (calibration) to be reset to their factory defaults. Items Required

• Update-use files (obtained via Service Net) A factory reset can be executed either when the unit has been started normally • USB memory device (2 MB or larger) or in the Test Mode. This section describes how to carry out the operation FAT32 when the unit has been started normally. * Before you start, use a computer to format the device using the file system.

1. Switch on the power to the unit. The initial screen appears. Procedure fig.main.eps 1. Copy the update-use file (gr55.bin) to the root directory of the USB memory device. 2. Insert the USB memory device just described into the USB MEMORY connector on the side panel. 3. Hold down [V-LINK] and [USER] and switch on the power. 2. Press [EDIT], then press [PAGE ] 3 times.
