PARLIAMENT of INDIA NOTICE Subject PARLIAMENT OF INDIA (JOINT RECRUITMENT CELL) N O T I C E Subject : Issue of call letters for Personal Interview to eligible candidates for filling up of vacancies for the post of Security Assistant Grade-II (Technical) in Lok Sabha Secretariat from amongst Ex-Servicemen (Advt. No. 2/2016) ...... Personal Interview of the eligible candidates for filling up of vacancies notified vide Advertisement No. 2/2016 for the post of Security Assistant Grade-II (Technical) in Lok Sabha Secretariat from amongst Ex-Servicemen is scheduled to be held from 7th to 20th December, 2016 (excluding on 11, 13 and 18 December, 2016). 2. Calls letters for the personal interview to the eligible candidates have already been issued. 3. The list of candidates whose personal interview is scheduled to be held from 7th to 10th December, 2016 has already been uploaded 4. The list of candidates whose personal interview is scheduled to be held on 12, 14 to 17 and 19 & 20 December, 2016 is enclosed. (Annexure) 5. The venue of the Personal Interview will be Parliament House Annexe, (near Red Cross building and opposite to Transport Bhawan), New Delhi. 6. Accordingly, the candidates are requested to report to the Reception Office, Parliament House Annexe, New Delhi as per the date and time indicated in their call letters. ABSTRACT: Kerala, the land is blessed with nature and its tradition. It has a copiously diverse vegetation beautiful landscape and climate. The land is also rich in its literature. M.T.Vasudevan Nair is one of the renowned figures in Malayalam literature who excels and portrays the traditional and cultural picture of Kerala society. Kaalam, published in 1969 is a lyrical novel in Malayalam literature by M.T.Vasudevan Nair and Gita Krishnan Kutty translates it into English as Time. This paper tries to analyse the sociological and cultural transformation of Kerala in the novel Time during the period of MT. It also focuses on the system of Marumakkathayam,joint family system and its transformation. Keywords: Sociological and Cultural transformation, Marumakkathayam, Joint family system, Tarawads. India is a multi-lingual country steeped in its rich culture and tradition. There are many such treasure troves of creativity in the regional languages that would have been lost to the rest of the world, but for its tradition, which is the only means to reach a wider group of reading public. Some observations on the finds are annotated in this article. Keywords: Megaliths, Nemmara, Palakkad, Burials, Exploration, Iron Age, Early Historic Introduction Megalithic burials are part of the cultural remains of Iron Age -Early Historic period and in Kerala, in the absence of discovery of habitation sites, they are the sole indicator that provides information on the socio-cultural and economic aspects of the contemporary society. Kerala has the distinction of having diverse burial types such as menhirs, dolmens, cists, stone circles, rock cut chambers, urn burials, hoodstones, kudakkals and topikkals. Palakkad district located almost at the centre of Kerala has various epithets such as the gateway to Kerala, the granary of Kerala and the land of palmyras and paddy fields. The presence of Palakkad Gap, a low natural mountain pass or gap of 32 to 40 km width in the 960 km long Western Ghats is the most influential factor for the unique geographical and cultural characteristics of the district.
