Two great days of racing The two day Darley Scone Racing Carnival 10th & 11th May, captures what all of us love about going to the races. Whether we are at the “glam of the big metropolitan meets”, or those great little once a year country race tracks, Scone is the one place that caters for all these great experiences and more in a single package. A genuine standalone “Black Type” metropolitan status carnival, held in a country town, smack bang in the centre of horse heaven that is the Upper Hunter Valley. It is arguably one of the only places, where you can literally buy a ticket in a marquee and be guaranteed the opportunity to dine with the who’s-who of the industry or be able to walk into the races and see these same names “strapping” their horses right in front of you. Yes, there is no hiding things there in Scone. Horses, their minders and roaming three-piece brass band, good times are right there in front of you from the moment you enter. If you have never attended, or even if you have, this is one racing carnival experience that continues to evolve and that you will truly wish to relive time and time again.
