Ufrequently Asked Questions Version #4 – 6/28/18 UFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: What is the World of Outlaws World Finals on November 1st, 2nd & 3rd? A: The World of Outlaws World Finals is the championship event for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Cars, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Models and, the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds. What makes the event so special is that the greatest superstars in dirt racing are racing on the same track on the same nights. Only at the World Finals have race fans been able to see the likes of, Donny Schatz, Shane Stewart, Brad Sweet, Daryn Pittman, Jason Sides, Kraig Kinser, David Gravel and all of the “winged warriors” on the same card as Brandon Sheppard, Shane Clanton, Chub Frank, Rick Eckert, Morgan Bagley, Devin Moran, Chris Madden and all of dirt racing’s stock car stars. Add in the “mighty modifieds,” fans will now get to witness the likes of Matt Sheppard, Brett Hearn, Jimmy Phelps, Billy Decker, Max McLaughin, Tim Fuller and Stewart Friesen, as the three most prestigious titles in all of dirt racing are decided at Charlotte. Version #4 – 6/28/18 Q: What happens on Thursday? A. Thursday will kickoff with two separate rounds of two-lap qualifying time trials for both the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and two sessions of timed hot laps for the Super DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds. The first round will set the heat race lineups for Friday’s event while the second round will set the heat race lineups for Saturday’s event. The Super DIRTcar Modifieds will run their two sets of heat races, the first to determine Friday’s Feature race lineups and the second to determine Saturday’s Feature race lineups, as part of the Thursday night program. Q: What is the format on Friday? A. Subject to change: Super DIRTcar Series Modifieds hot laps, WoO Sprint hot laps, WoO Late Model hot laps, opening ceremonies, Super DIRTcar Modifieds LCS, WoO Sprint heat races (up to five), WoO Late Model heat races (up to six), WoO Sprint C-Feature (if necessary), WoO Sprint Dash, WoO Sprint Last Chance Showdown, WoO Late Model LCS (up to three), Super DIRTcar Series Modifieds Feature (40 laps - $8,000-to-win), WoO Sprint Feature (30 laps - $12,000-to-win) and WoO Late Model Feature (50 laps - $12,000-to-win). Q: What is the format on Saturday? A. The Saturday Schedule will be the same as the Friday Schedule. This will allow Charlotte Motor Speedway and World Racing Group officials to keep Saturday’s program moving along smoothly for what promises to be a sold out audience of over 15,000 dirt racing enthusiasts. The Champions will be crowned at the end of the racing action on Saturday. Subject to change. Q: What is “flex-scheduling?” A. In an effort to maximize everyone’s experience, Charlotte Motor Speedway and World of Outlaws officials will be keeping an eye on the long-range weather forecast. If it appears that the temperatures are going to be uncomfortably cold, we will schedule the Friday and Saturday events to begin in the late afternoon. The hope is that this decision will be announced no later than 7 days prior to the event. Q: What is the earliest the races would start if “flex-scheduling” is necessary? A. Hot laps could start as early as 3 p.m. and would be immediately followed by opening ceremonies and heat races. Q: What is the daily schedule? A. In order to accommodate what promises to be the largest crowd in World Finals history, the schedule has been altered slightly in the interests of both guests and competitors: Wednesday, October 31, 2018 3:00 p.m. Pit Shack (Ticket Booth #2) Open 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Hauler Load-In for all teams 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. PRN at the Track Kick-off Party (Twenty Six Acres) Thursday, November 1, 2018 10:00 a.m.

Kinser started on the outside of the front row and moved into the lead late on the first lap. Shortly after, on the fourth turn in lap number two, the yellow came out for a wreck involving Danny Smith and Doug Wolfgang. Wolfgang had his brake-line cut during the mishap, sending his car into the infield, where unbelievably, he hit only one person, sending him to the hospital with a leg injury. Smith was shaken up in the mishap, and was taken to the hospital for treatment and released.
