SHRI JAMYANG TSERING NAMGYAL: Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) whether there is any vacancy for Government jobs in the newly created Union Territory of Ladakh; (b) if so, the details thereof and the manner and time by which the vacancies are likely to be filled; (c) if not, the measures being taken for the creation of new jobs; (d) the manner in which the Government is going to compensate and negotiate with the aspirants for their over age if recruitment is delayed; (e) whether any new recruitments are being done for the establishment and functioning of the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh; (f) if so, the details thereof; and (g) if not, the time by which this is likely to start? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS (SHRI G. KISHAN REDDY) (a) to (d): Yes Sir. The vacancies for Government jobs in the newly created Union Territory of Ladakh are based on the apportionment of employees between the UT of J&K and UT of Ladakh made by the LG of Jammu and Kashmir in accordance with the provisions of the Jammu & Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019. -2- L.S.US.Q NO. 1335 FOR 09.02.2021 While the Gazetted posts are to be filled by the Union Public Service Commission, the Non-gazetted District Cadre posts are to be filled by the respective recruitment boards of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council(s) based on the Recruitment Rules for such vacancies. (e) to (g): Yes Sir. A total of 493 District Cadre Posts have been filled through the respective Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Subordinate Services Recruitment Board(s) of Leh and Kargil during the calendar year 2020. Further, a total of 538 persons have also been engaged on outsourcing basis. ******** .
