These volunteers do so because they care, they receive no assistance from the government and rely totally on donations. They pay for their own fuel, picking up and dropping off food and so on and a lot of people are using their own resources to fund a lot of what they do. They are putting their lives and their loved ones at risk ,yet do so selfl essly because they care. They do not receive PPEs nor do they receive a salary for what they do. Then there are the amazing people who rescue pets, feed them and take them to the vet. They, too, are solely dependent on donations. They not only risk contracting the virus but may also may get bitten and contract rabies. All these people who make such huge sacrifi ces need to be thanked and honoured as well as everyone who donates to these worthy causes.
