Great White Egret Ardea alba (0, 3, 20). (Breeds southern England, Iberia, Italy, Eastern Europe, France, Greece, Holland, Belguim, Germany into western Asia). 1997 One, Bann Estuary, Coleraine, County Londonderry observed on 8th October and 22nd November. It was also recorded at Black Glen, Castlerock, County Londonderry from 8th October - 29th November and day tripped to the Roe Estuary, Lough Foyle, County Londonderry on 23rd November (Seamus Doherty, Davy Hunter, Michael Clarke, Mervyn Guthrie et al.). Charles and Crory 2019. 1998 One: Ballyrainey, Comber, County Down, 25th November (Mrs Cave), it was next observed at Castle Espie WWT, Comber, County Down, 30th November - 9th December (James Orr et al.) and also at Ballaystockart River, Comber River Estuary, Comber, County Down, 2nd - 5th December (Walter Veale et al.).
