The gathering time will be around 8 PM so that everyone can easily reach at the gathering point. After loading of your luggages we will move to Rishikesh. NIGHT 1 - Night 1 will be En route to Rishikesh. DAY 2 - By early morning We will reach Yognagri Rishikesh. Here you can enjoy Triveni Ghat, Beatles Ashram and Laxman Jhula. You can enjoy calmness of the Holy Ganga river at Triveni Ghat. After your Breakfast we will move to Guptakashi. En route you will enjoy Devprayag(The confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanada Rivers). Then we will reach Rudraprayag (The confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini Rivers). Crossing Rudraprayag with beautiful mountain views and fresh air we will finally reach Guptakashi for our night halt. You will check in to pre booked hotel/campsites/Home stays. If time allows You can visit the temple Viswanath here. NIGHT 2 - Night 2 you will rest in Guptakashi and prepare for a long walk to Kedarnath starting from early morning. (Dinner included in Package) DAY 3 - Wake up and take your early morning breakfast then we will move to Sonprayag, from here you will go to Gaurikund via “Compulsory local sharing cab” (not included in Package). From Gaurikund you will Trek to Kedarnath by foot. If you are not able to do trek Mules, ponies are available at various locations. You can hire one of them which will take you to Kedarnath. However these are paid services which are not included in package hence you have to bear the cost of such service separately. (Breakfast included in Package) NIGHT 3 - By the evening time you will reach at Kedarnath. After checking in to hotels pay visit to Kedarnath. Sink in the beauty of the nature. Environment of devotion will fill you with enthusiasm and joy. You will feel all sorrow of your life has ended when you reach here. All tiredness and fatigue will be vanish once you look at the holy temple Kedarnath. All hustle and bustle of life ends here. You will feel there is no point of all the rush, competition, wealth in your life. By the night take your dinner and sleep in the lap of lord Shiva. (Dinner included in package) DAY 4 - Day 4 is crucial and you must wake up early as the temple doors are open at 5 am. You can see the golden rays of the rising sun falling on the temple. We must stand in the queue for our turn to worship to go inside the temple. Many times due to heavy crowd the queue got longer, from this long queues everyone’s schedule gets late. So all we have to try to finish our worship before 7 am. Then we will take our breakfast. After checking out of hotel we will trek back to Gaurikund and back to Guptakashi at our hotel/campsite/homestays. (Breakfast included in package) NIGHT 4 - Night 4 you will stay at Guptakashi. (Dinner included in package) DAY 5 - Wake up at ease. Have breakfast and check out from hotel by noon. We will move to Rishikesh by the night. (Breakfast included in package) NIGHT 5 - After a brief halt at Rishikesh we will move to Delhi in night. DAY 6 - In the early morning we will drop you at pre decided location.     NOTES CATASTROPHIC LANDSLIDES IN UTTARANCHAL, CENTRAL HIMALAYA Mass-movements, not an uncommon phenomenon The August 1998 landslides and rockfal1s that took a toll of more than 600 people in Guptakashi and Malpa areas in the inner belt of the Central Himalaya, are not at all an uncommon phenomenon. These occurred in the identified hazard zones and were of predicted severity and proportions (Valdiya, 1985, 1987). The mass-movements wiped tens of villages of the Guptakashi area in the very well-known shear zone of the active faults that divide the populated Lesser Himalayan terrane from ruggedly lofty Himadri (Great Himalaya) domain (Fig. 1). In the Kali Valley crumbling of the mountain slope accompanied by burst of swollen stream in the proximity of a fault buried the village of Malpa along with its people and pilgrims in transit. The Kapkot-Dharchula-Bajang belt in northwestern Kumaun is a highly seismic area. This is evident from the concentration of epicentres of earthquakes of magnitude 5 to 6.5. The strongest earthquake to rock the region in 1916 was of the magnitude 7.6, ravaging 2500 laTI2 area between Bajang (East of Malpa in Nepal) and Kapkot in Kumaun. The 1958 event ofM 7.5 and the 1968 earthquake of magnitUde 7.0 shook the Bajang-Dharchula belt and rendered its mountain slopes extremely vulnerable. Pilgrimage has adapted to a purportedly secularizing world, and even benefited from contemporary modes of transportation and communication.All pilgrims provide the message of human welfare, development of universe and religious and spiritual promotions for the welfare of society, way to truth, salvation and many more through interactions, observations of pilgrimage, but for understanding the cultural system in both intrinsic and extrinsic ways, or as insider and outsider, a human science paradigm would be better as it covers the totality thus attempting to reveal the “whole” of the culture, human psyche and functions at play. It was found that no any kind of discriminations, differences, inequalities on the basis of caste, class, gender, ethnicity etc.among pilgrimage during the visit. Almost all respondents felt the harmony, cohesion and friendly during the visit though cross-border. All Shiva shrines promote the welfare of animals, human and the world. Harmony, cohesion, solidarity and brotherhood and sisterhood were found good.
