Extra Curricular Clubs There are many opportunities for pupils to take part in a variety of clubs during lunchtime and after school in the PE department. Regular exercise is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle with many studies showing the benefits it can have. Aside from the health benefits it can also help to boost a persons wellbeing and mood, and is a great way to unwind from the stresses of life. We encourage all pupils to take advantage of the opportunities available to them.

PRIMARY SPORTS TRANSITION EVENTS We have hosted two Primary Sports Transition Events for primary 7 pupils from our Associated Primary Schools. The first event, a series of Basketball tournaments was held in November with a Potted Sports tournament being held in February.

Over 200 students have taken part at both tournaments and they have been a resounding success with lots of great pieces of skill being on show, lots of fun and a great way to meet and mix with pupils who will form our S1 cohort next year.

Thanks to Miss Barr for coordinating both events and to Stephen Conroy our Active Schools Coordinator for being the link with all our associated primary schools. A special thanks go to our amazing group of Sports Captains and Sports Leaders who were responsible for the smooth running of both events. What amazing leadership skills they have showed throughout the transition events.
