Cardiff City Football Club Ninian Park, Sloper Road, Cardiff, CF11 8SX Visiting supporters : Up to 1853 visiting supporters can be accommodated on the Grange End, behind the goal mouth. The Grange end is divided into 2 sections, accommodating both home and away supporters Due to the construction of the new Cardiff City Stadium which is just opposite Ninian Park, there will be no ‘on Stadium’ parking for away fans other than for coaches. Persons travelling to Cardiff by car will either have to park away from the Stadium or use the car park at Fitzalan High School, Lawrenny Ave, Cardiff. Directions to Ninian Park Rail There are connections from the Cardiff Central Railway Station to Ninian Park Halt and Grange Halt, however the majority of away fans normally walk or use taxi’s. Coach companies are requested to: • Inform local Police of your intention to travel. • Do not stop within ten (10) miles of travelling to or from the ground, except in an emergency. • Do not stop for refreshments at any place where intoxicating liquor is available. • Operators should be reminded that the Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol) Act 1985 as amended by the Public Order Act 1986 prohibits alcohol on a vehicle which : • Is either a public service vehicle or a vehicle adapted to carry more than 8 passengers (i.e. minibus) and : • Is being used for the principal purpose of carrying passengers for the whole or part of a journey to or from a designated sporting event. • Do not arrive earlier than 2 hours before kick off or later than 1 hour before kick off. For Coach Operators and independent travellers • Leave the M4 motorway at Junction 33. (This is the rendezvous point for police escorts during certain fixtures) • Take the A4232. (This is the first exit off the interchange). • Travel along this road passing the Museum of Welsh Life. • Continue straight through the first interchange (A48 / A4050 Cardiff Airport). • Ninian Park will be seen as you approach the second interchange, signposted Leckwith. • Leave the A4232 at this second intersection and bear left from the slip road into Leckwith Road. • After about ¼ mile, turn right into the car park between the park and the building site line, this is known as the ‘Blue Route’ ( Point 3 on Map ) • There will be no charges for coaches at Ninian Park this season. .
