October Edition October 16, 2017 LEP PRESS LEP News | World News | Sports Girls Basketball By Jayde Hurley Girls basketball is off to a quick and sturdy start as we fall into the month of October. This year Lo-Ellen has produced 3 teams once again including a Midget, Junior, and Senior team. The Senior girls’ team is returning after their third place finish at OFSAA last year. Both our Junior and Senior teams are yet to be defeated in league play (as of September 28), both with a 3-0 win record. To add to the success, the Junior girls have yet to have more than 15 points scored on them in a single game in their regular season. All three of our teams have also been traveling to, and often finding success in, out Photo by Colleen Gauvreau of town tournaments. This is especially true Nervous? Some fall sports include Cross Country Running, Football, Basketball, Volleyball and more. The list runs on and on for both, and these clubs and teams would be more than happy to see you at the next meeting/practice. There are many ways to get high school started no matter what your interests are, from arts to sports and everything in between. Still nervous? I didn’t think so.
