FIVE VIKINGS NAMED TO THE 2020

Griffen earns fourth Pro Bowl honor Rhodes named to third Pro Bowl Cousins to appear in second career Pro Bowl Ham, Kendricks garner first career Pro Bowl nods

Eagan, Minn. (January 21, 2020) – Vikings QB , DE , FB C.J. Ham, LB and CB have been named to the 2020 NFL Pro Bowl. Cousins will replace QB and Kendricks will replace LB , who are unable to participate due to injury. Griffen will replace DE , Ham will replace San Francisco 49ers FB , and Rhodes will replace San Francisco 49ers CB Richard Sherman, all of whom are unable to participate due to the Super Bowl.

Cousins is named to his second-career Pro Bowl after setting two NFL records and multiple Vikings marks in 2019. He became the first in league history to have at least 300 passing yards and a passer rating of 130.0 or higher in three consecutive games (Weeks 5-7) and holds the NFL-record five games with an 80.0 completion percentage or better in a single season (minimum 10 passing attempts). Cousins also tied for the league lead with nine games of 100.0 passer rating or higher and became the third- fastest player in NFL history (89 career games) to complete 2,000 passes, doing so against Detroit in Week 11. The Holland, Michigan native had a 121.5 passer rating on 54 deep pass attempts (throws of at least 20 air yards) this season, the second-best mark in the NFL among with at least 10 deep pass attempts. His 137.1 passer rating in the month of October also earned him NFC Player of the Month honors and stands as the second-highest passer rating in a month in NFL history, trailing only Peyton Manning’s record of 138.0 in September 2013.

The Michigan State product became one of seven players to throw 50 passes with Minnesota, in only 27 games. His 56 total passing with the franchise is the most in a player’s first two seasons as a Viking. Cousins set the Vikings franchise record for single-game completion percentage (minimum 20 attempts) vs. Washington in Week 8, going 23-for-26 (88.5%) in the outing. Cousins started 15 games in 2019, completing 307-of-444 (69.1%) passes for 3,602 yards, 26 touchdowns and a career-low six . His 107.4 passer rating finished fourth in the NFL, marked a personal best and established the 2nd-highest single season mark in Vikings history (Daunte Culpepper, 110.9 passer rating in 2004). He also notched the first postseason victory of his NFL career at New Orleans in the Wild Card round, becoming the eighth starting quarterback in franchise history to win his first start in the playoffs. Cousins is the first

quarterback under to be named to the Pro Bowl since Teddy Bridgewater following the 2015 season.

Griffen is named to the Pro Bowl for the first time since making three consecutive appearances following the 2015-2017 seasons. The Avondale, Arizona, native finished the season with 8.0 sacks and 11 tackles for loss, second on the team in both categories, while his 24 quarterback hits this season are tied for eighth-most in the NFL. The 10-year veteran ranks ninth in the NFL with 57.0 sacks since the beginning of the 2014 season and is seventh in Vikings history with 74.5 career sacks.

Ham, who posted career highs in several categories, will appear in his first Pro Bowl. The Duluth, Minnesota, native started eight games (seven regular season, one playoff) and recorded 17 receptions and 149 receiving yards, all personal records. He scored his second touchdown of his career in Week 7 at Detroit, catching a five-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kirk Cousins. The Vikings offense used multiple backs in 34.9% of its offensive plays. Minnesota scored 21 touchdowns from those formations, the most in the NFL. Ham joins Bill Brown, Tony Richardson and Jerome Felton as the only Vikings fullbacks to be named to the Pro Bowl.

Kendricks earns his first career Pro Bowl selection after being named First Team All-Pro by the Associated Press. The former UCLA Bruin recorded 12 passes defensed on the season, tied for the top mark among NFL . Kendricks has led the team in tackles for five consecutive seasons, tallying 110 total tackles (70 solo) in 2019. He also posted two forced , two recoveries and four tackles for loss, while starting 15 games for the Mike Zimmer-led Vikings. The Fresno, California, native helped the Vikings defense rank at the top of the league in several categories since being drafted in 2015. In five seasons, the defensive unit ranks in the top two of the league in opponent yards per game (317.3), red zone scoring (45.5 TD percentage), third down conversions (33.7%) and opponent offensive points per game (18.0).

Rhodes, a three-time Pro Bowler, finished the 2019 regular season with 63 tackles (52 solo), six passes defensed, five tackles for loss and one forced fumble. The Miami, Florida, native started all 15 games in which he appeared in and played in his 100th career game vs. Denver (11/17). Rhodes’ 10 career interceptions since 2013 ranks third in the NFL among active roster . The Florida State product ties Carl Lee (1988-90) and Antoine Winfield (2008-10) for the most Pro Bowl recognitions (3) by a Vikings CB in team history.

The 2020 Pro Bowl kicks off at 2:00 p.m. CT on Sunday, January 26 at , and will be televised live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and simulcast on ABC and Disney XD – the third time the game will be available on both broadcast and cable networks. For the fourth consecutive year, Pro Bowl Week festivities will take place at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort and across the Orlando area.
