Applications may be inspected free of charge at the Office of the Traffic Commissioner in Leeds by any person who carries written authorisation to act in that capacity. Objections against published applications may be made in writing by a Chief Officer of Police, a local authority, a planning authority or a prescribed trade union or association within 21 days of the date on which notice of an application is published in Applications and Decisions. Objections must be made either on the grounds that any of the requirements listed in Section 13 of the Goods Vehicles (Licensing of Operators) Act 1995 are not met and/or that a nominated operating centre will be unsuitable for use as such. A copy of the objection must be sent by the objector to the applicant at the same time that it is sent to the Traffic Commissioner. The onus of proof in terms of the grounds on which an objection is lodged lies with the objector. You may fax a copy of your objection to 0113 2488521 but please note that you must send the original signed document through the post. Classification of Operator Licences – There are three classes of licence: • A Restricted (R) licence authorises the use of a goods vehicle on public roads in Great Britain for the carriage of the licence holder’s own goods in the course of his trade or business. The licence holder cannot carry goods for other people for hire or reward; • A Standard National (SN) licence allows the licence holder to carry both his own goods and goods for other people for hire or reward, on public roads in Great Britain. He can also carry his own goods on journeys abroad; • A Standard International (SI) licence allows the licence holder to carry both his own goods and goods for other people for hire or reward. These activities can be undertaken both in Great Britain and on international journeys. That series formerly included also the inquisitions ad quod damnum, which have now been made into a separate class, and are therefore not dealt with here. In view of the very full introduction to Vol. xii of the Record Series, it seems unnecessary to add to this volume any introduction on similar lines. The whole class of Chancery inquisitions post mortem is under arrangement; the documents are now arranged in files numbered from the beginning of each reign. The documents themselves, however, have not so far been renumbered, and still have the old system of numbering, beginning a new serial with each regnal year. It has therefore been thought better not to give the old serial number, in view of a probable renumbering at no distant date.

    Publication Draft Plan Minerals and Waste Joint Plan Publication Draft Plan October 2016 Minerals and Waste Joint Plan 1 Publication Draft Plan Foreword As planning authorities for minerals and waste in each of their areas, North Yorkshire County Council, City of York Council and the North York Moors National Park Authority have a responsibility to take decisions on planning applications for related development. The three Authorities, (referred to as ‘the Authorities’), also have a duty to produce planning policies to help to take those decisions, which can often be controversial because of the scale and nature of development involved. Minerals such as sand and gravel, limestone and clay are essential to meeting society’s needs for economic growth and development. Other minerals, such as onshore gas, are important in helping to meet our needs for energy. The North Yorkshire area is rich in minerals resources and there is a long history of mining and quarrying. In some areas the jobs and economic benefits of mineral extraction are an important part of local community life. North Yorkshire is also rich in high quality landscapes and the historic built environment and includes 2 National Parks, 4 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Heritage Coast. Therefore it is especially important to ensure that the working of essential minerals takes place without causing harm to these and other special areas. It is now well known that Government, commerce, industry and individuals all need to do more to ensure that the waste we produce can be dealt with in less harmful and more efficient ways.

This Order may be cited as the Housing (Right to Acquire or Enfranchise) (Designated Rural Areas in the North East) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 1st April 1997. Designated rural areas 2.
