    Bledlow-cum-Saunderton Neighbourhood Development Plan Report of the Community Infrastructure Task Group 1. Introduction 1.1 The Community Infrastructure Task Group (CITG) was set up by the Bledlow-cum-Saunderton Neighbourhood Plan Working Group (WG) in December 2015. Its initial work programme was focused around the following questions: How do we prevent the loss of valued community facilities? What are these crucial assets? What are the infrastructure priorities on which CIL funds should be targeted? At the outset of the CITG’s work there was an understanding that the quantum of development on the former Molins factory site would be at the upper end of the spectrum and generate significant CIL funds. As it has become clear that such a scale of development opposed by Wycombe District Council’s (WDC) appeal case it has been necessary to amend the remit of the CITG to identify infrastructure priorities where PC funds (including and in addition to CIL) might be spent. 1.2 The CITG was composed of local residents all of whom, by virtue of being either long-standing residents of the Parish or through their roles in various local organisations, have demonstrated a competency to undertake the work of the CITG. During the work of the Task Group the following Stakeholders have been contacted directly in order to seek their input into the output of the Task Group and into this report.     1 UNIV ONLINE CATALOGUES UC:E23 - LAND IN OXFORD AND GREAT MARLOW, BUCKS., BEQUEATHED BY JOHN BROWNE (MASTER 1745–64), 1755-1971 John Browne, from Marton, Yorkshire, came up to University College in May 1704, and was elected a scholar in November 1705. He was then elected a Skirlaw Fellow on 23 August 1711. As a Fellow, Browne held many of the major offices of the College, in particular acting as Bursar during the 1720s. During the great Mastership dispute at the College of the 1720s, when two Fellows both claimed to be Master, Browne supported Thomas Cockman, the ultimate victor. In 1738 Brown was appointed Archdeacon of Northampton, and he resigned his Fellowship in February 1738/9. In 1745, however, he returned to University College on being elected Master. Brown remained Master, still retaining his archdeaconry, until his death on 7 August 1764. He had served as Vice-Chancellor from 1750–3. In addition to the preceding posts, Brown had also been vicar of Long Compton, Warks, for half a century, and in 1743 he was appointed a canon of Peterborough Cathedral. Browne had prospered in his ecclesiastical career, and he remained a bachelor. On his death in 1764, therefore, Browne proved a major benefactor to his old College. Not only did he bequeath his extensive library to the College for the use of successive Masters, but he also left a house at 88 High Street Oxford (now the site of Durham Buildings) and some property at Great Marlow, Buckinghamshire, to trustees, both to endow new undergraduate scholarships, but also to augment the stipends of existing scholarships whose value had declined with time.

    LCA 11.3 COOMBE HILL AND WHITELEAF CHALK ESCARPMENT LCA in Context LCA 11.3 COOMBE HILL & WHITELEAF CHALK ESCARPMENT KEY CHARACTERISTICS • Steep, north west facing chalk escarpment. A visible feature over long distances from lower lying areas in Aylesbury Vale. • Lower slopes are highly undulating, comprising large open arable and pastoral fields, which contrast with the well wooded scarp tops. Field systems often have a strong geometric character, and are commonly 20th century enclosure. • Densely wooded scarp, with the exception of the lower section. Mostly broadleaved, mixed and yew woodland, with some large areas of ancient woodland, including The Hangings, Giles Wood and Ninn Wood. Interspersed with open patches of calcareous grassland. • An extremely low density of settlement, limited to lower slopes and comprising isolated properties and individual farmsteads. The small hamlet of Loosley Row lies in the south overlooking the Aylesbury Vale. • Numerous ecological designations, including several SSSI’s (broadleaved, mixed, lowland beech/yew woodland, acid grassland and lowland calcareous grassland), at Ellesborough and Kimble Warrens, Windor Hill, Bacombe and Coombe Hills, and Grangeland and Pulpit Hill. • A good network of well managed hedgerows delineates field systems. • Important local landmarks include, Whiteleaf Cross, a distinctive chalk hill monument, carved into the escarpment side. Coombe Hill, the highest view point in the Chilterns, with the Coombe Hill Monument located on its summit. • A rich variety of archaeological remains, including Neolithic barrows, Roman and Iron Age finds, cropmark track way and enclosures, and cross dykes, with numerous scheduled monuments, such as Pulpit Hill Camp and Cymbeline’s Castle, a Motte and Bailey Castle.

It seems like only yesterday I was welcoming you back after Christmas. The children have continued to enjoy their learning this term and have made good progress in all areas of their learning. It has been wonderful to see them all embrace the Diamond Power challenges and develop their independence. Well done everyone! The Ladybirds have finished their Fairy Tale topic this week with some wonderful learning opportunities around the story of ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’. I particularly enjoyed playing the part of the goat trip trapping over the bridge in the hall! Hopefully you all received your next set of WOW stickers in your child’s book bag today. We would like to invite the Ladybird parents to a ‘Stay and Play’ session on Monday 27th March at 2pm. During this afternoon you will have time to look through your child’s learning journey and there will be time for you to contribute to this. Woodland Class enjoyed learning about the postal system this week, it was interesting to see how long the letters we had posted took to arrive and the different marks that were printed on the envelopes. The children also enjoyed learning about Safer Internet Day on Tuesday and produced some excellent work to show how they can stay safe online.
