Becka (Grey) Hill Onair Personality/Account Executive Becka@Jambroadcasting.Net (O) 830.896.1230 (C) 325.436.4314 Subject: Information about a new local Vocational School Scholarship program My name is Becka and I work for JAM Broadcasting in Kerrville. Our group of radio stations has put together a Vocational Scholarship Fund for four counties in the HILL Country, Kerr, Kendall, Gillespie, and Bandera. We did this earlier in the year and were able to give 5 scholarships to high school seniors last school year. We are doing it again this year and I wanted to reach out to you so that you can let your students know about this local vocational scholarship opportunity. Here's how it works. We are asking the community at large in all 4 counties to donate their spare change at a predetermined location and will be running this campaign from mid-January 2021 through the end of March on the radio. Our goal is to educate the public on the need for more trained vocational employees in the workforce, and how they can help. We also have sponsors that will be donating directly to the scholarships. For students to qualify they must: 1. Graduate from a public high school in one of the four counties listed above in 2021. 2. Create a resume for their dream job in their chosen vocational field. 3. Upload the resume to our website (the link for the scholarships will be back up within the week) at www.jambroadcasting.net **Deadline to apply is April 5, 2021** That's it. There is no grade requirement nor socio-economic specifics to be met in order to qualify. We will have a committee that will select the winners comprised of local business owners and staff of JAM Broadcasting. Our goal this year is to give 3 scholarships of $1,000 in each of the four counties. We at JAM Broadcasting understand the rising need for more trained blue-collar employees in the workplace. The majority of us have either achieved some sort of vocational training in the past, or have family who have. This is our way of helping, even in a small way. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach me via any of my numbers below, or via email. Thanks, and have a great day!
