METRO Cultural exchange aids schools Peterson addresses council on safety forum UI Student Government Vice President Carole Peterson spoke Monday night at the Iowa City City Council’s work session about the Sept. 12 Women’s Safety Forum. Peterson declared the event a success, and the city councilors seemed receptive to the forum and its pro-women’s safety message. “I think it’s really important for us to hear what people on campus want,” Mayor Pro Tem Regenia Bailey said.
