O R D E R

Sri N.Shantaiah, Peddapalli District has filed a Complaint dated 09-01-2018 which was received by this Commission on 24-01-2018 for not getting the information sought by him from the PIO / O/o. the Gram Panchayath, Mavala Village, Mavala Mandal, .

The brief facts of the case as per the Complaint and other records received along with it are that the Complainant herein filed an application dated 08-11-2017 before the PIO requesting to furnish the information under Sec.6(1) of the RTI Act, 2005, on the following points mentioned in his application annexed. TSIC

The Public Information Officer / O/o. the Gram Panchayath, Mavala Village, Mavala Mandal, Adilabad District, Vide Letter No. 817/G.P.M/2017, Dated 11-12-2017, has furnished the information to the Complainant for item No. 1, 2 and 4 while asking the Complainant to pay cost of information for 1758 Vouchers @ 2/- per page against item No.3.

As the Complainant did not receive the complete required information from the PIO even after 30 days of filing his application, and as the PIO sent information to pay the cost after expiring of (30) days he preferred this Complaint before the Commission requesting to arrange to furnish the information sought by him u/s 18(1) of the RTI Act, 2005.

The Complaint was taken on file and notices were issued to both the parties for hearing on 4-6-2019.

On 4-6-2019 the case is called. The complainant and the Public Information Officer, Panchayath Secretary, Mavala Village Gram Panchayath are present.

The Public Information Officer submitted that information for point nos.1, 2 and 4 was furnished to the complainant through letter dated 11.12.2017 and for point no.3, he was requested to pay @ Rs.2/- per page for 1758 vouchers. But the complainant did not pay the requisite amount. The Public Information Officer further submitted that information for point no.3 is ready.

The complainant submitted that the letter to pay the requisite amount is beyond the stipulated period.

The Commission directs the PIO to furnish information sought at point no.3 to the complainant forthwith and submit copy of acknowledgement to the Commission.

With the above direction, the complaint is closed.
