DAY Venice arrival Arrival to the Venice airport, meet & greet by your guide/driver and transfer to the hotel. Free time in the 1 afternoon. DAY Venice We spend the day exploring the canals of Venice. Walk pass the Rialto and the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark's Square and Basilica, barges, gondolas and crumbling palaces facing streets made of water. Overnight in 2 Venice. DAY Venice – Bovec Driving from Venice we enter Slovenia. We arrive to Bovec, a small tourist centre, popular especial among all the adrenaline seekers and go canyoning on the river Soča between the waterfalls, small pools and excellent 3 rocks ideal for splashing about. Overnight in Bovec. DAY Bovec In the morning we have more adventures planned like rafting on the magical Soča and zip line between the 4 trees. Overnight in Bovec. DAY Bovec – Planica – Bled Our tour than takes us over the mountain pass Vršič to Planica Nordic Centre where we can go on a zip-line or 5 wind tunnel. In the evening we drive to Bled for an overnight. DAY Bled – Bohinj – Bled In the morning, sightseeing of the Lake Bled, its island with a church and visit of Bled Castle. In the afternoon we drive to Bohinj where you can go paragliding and enjoy in some of the most amazing views over the lake 6 and beautiful nature. Overnight in Bled. DAY Bled – Ljubljana – Postojna– Bled After breakfast we drive to the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana where we go for a walk along the picturesque streets and enjoy in of the cafés near the Ljubljanica river. From Ljubljana we drive to visit the number 1 7 attraction in Slovenia, a 21km long Postojna cave. After we drive to see Predjama Castle, a Renaissance castle built within a cave mouth. Afterwards we 8 drive to the Lake Wörth, nestled between mountains and hillsides, perfect for bathing and swimming. Overnight around Lake Wörth. DAY Lake Wörth – Landskron Castle – Lake Wörth Our next stop on the tour is Landskron Castle. It dates back to 14th century but nowadays it is known as a falconry centre conducting regular flying demonstrations. The primary aim of this show is to let people have a 9 closer approach to these fascinating animals and to transmit some knowledgeable facts about them. Later, optional trip to Hochhinauf rafting and adventure park. Overnight around Lake Wörth. DAY Lake Wörth – Bolzano In the morning we continue to Bolzano (Italy), a town where different cultures meet. The Talvera river divides the historic town and the modern area. Explore the fusion between the Mediterranean and central Europe in a 10 walk between churches, historical streets and squares, museums and castles. Overnight in Bolzano. DAY Bolzano – Lake Garda After breakfast we drive to another great lake, Lake Garda, one of the most popular lakes in Italy. Its very mild Mediterranean climate and constant winds make it perfect for activities like swimming and surfing. Overnight 11 around Lake Garda. DAY Lake Garda We spend the day on the Lake Garda, enjoying the beautiful landscape and the Mediterranean climate. We will explore the Old Port of Desenzano and its Castel and visit Sirmione, set on the southern part of the lake. 12 Walk on its medieval streets and visit the Scaliger Fortress, Toamn Villa, Catullo Caves, etc. Overnight around Lake Garda. DAY Gardaland In the morning we head to Gardaland, an amusement park, adjacent to Lake Garda. Major attractions at the park include Mammut, Jungle Rapids, Fuga Da Atlantide, Shaman, Blue Tornado, Ramses: Il Risveglio, Raptor 13 and Oblivion: The Black Hole. Overnight around Lake Garda. DAY Venice departure 14 Transfer to the Venice airport and end of our services. Roller coasters are iconic structures that provide safe thrills for riders. Safety is achieved using multiple safety mechanisms: for example, bogies have multiple wheels that hold trains on track, a block system prevents trains from colliding and riders are held in place with safety restraints. Regular maintenance checks are also performed to prevent accidents caused by failed parts. Roller coasters are designed using a heartline spline and calculating accelerations in all possible scenarios to prevent rollbacks and too high values of accelerations, which could cause damage to riders’ bodies. A reach envelope is applied to the spline to prevent riders from hitting nearby objects. The speed and curvature of the track combined create acceler- ations that need to be countered with adequate track and support structures. A track cross- section usually consists of rails, cross-ties and a spine, while support structures can vary depending on height and loads.
