Supreme 2021 Registration Packet as of 02.02.21 Page 3 of 17 Session Information Free Parking at Hampton Roads Convention Center and ALL session Hotel locations Suggested Attire: It is the responsibility of everyone attending Supreme Session to dress appropriately. Please remember that your attire and behavior reflect Job’s Daughters and we want to ensure that it is a positive reflection. At NO TIME are short-shorts, cutoffs, halter tops, crop tops or bare midriffs allowed. Supreme Session Dress Code: Formal Events (Formal Opening, Formal Banquet, MIJD Pageant, Supreme Bethel and Supreme Guardian Council Installations) Ladies: knee length or longer formals, gowns or “dressy” dresses or “dressy” palazzo- style pants. Appropriately fitted strapless, halter, one shoulder and spaghetti straps are acceptable. (At no time should any undergarments be shown). Men: Tuxedo, suits, or sport coat and tie. Supreme Bethel All in-person Job’s Daughters must be in robes with either a white or purple cord attached, if official regalia is available. If not available, Daughters must be in Jobie meeting appropriate dress or skirt/blouse. Only the SBHQ, SBSP, SBJP and MIJD will be in crowns and/or capes. Ladies: knee length or longer skirts or dresses, dress pants. All tops should be in good taste, no plunging necklines. Men: dress pants, or slacks and collared shirts, polos, or sport coat and tie. Meetings (Supreme Guardian Council Mtgs and Registered Meals) Ladies: knee length or longer skirts or dresses, dress pants. All tops should be in good taste, no plunging necklines. Casual (Rehearsals, Tours, HIKE Event, Sales & Registration areas, or public areas) All Attendees: Jeans, khaki shorts, athletic pants, casual shirts, polos, or t-shirts. Swimwear There should be NO string or thong suits. All swimwear must fit properly. Cover-ups and footwear should be worn going to/from pool areas. Identification Badges Must Be Worn at All Times. No one will be admitted to any function without a badge. Day passes are available for visitors and guests. These special one-day passes will be available through the Registration website and at Registration at Session. Failure to wear a badge negates insurance coverage. Chaperones - All daughters/children under 20 years of age must be chaperoned during Supreme Session (especially off the Hampton Roads Convention Center property). Supreme 2021 Registration Packet as of 02.02.21 Page 4 of 17 SUPREME BETHEL NEWS The Supreme Bethel drawing will be held in-person on Thursday morning, August 5th in Virginia. All Daughters registered for Supreme Bethel, either as an in-person attendee or remote attendee, will be considered to have accepted their appointment, if selected, to accommodate virtual attendees. Virtual Registration is MANDATORY (please note that there will be NO in- person registration at Supreme Session). Registration closes June 30, 2021. When registering online, be sure to have the following information for each Daughter available when registering. This information is required to complete her registration: Daughter’s Name, Address, Age and Date of Birth Daughter’s or Parent’s Email Address Daughter’s or Parent’s Phone Number Current HQ? PHQ? Attending In Person or Virtual Only? Would she like to be selected as SBHQ? (Separate Letter of Intent due May 31, 2021) Note: Registration is still required Would she like to be selected as a Line Officer? (Must be 16 years old and an HQ or PHQ as of August 5, 2021) Would she like to be selected as an Officer? (Must be 16 years old as of August 5, 2021) Would she like to be selected as SB Musician? (Must be 16 years old as of August 5, 2021 and play an instrument) Would she like to be selected as a Representative? By completing the SB Registration, the Daughter agrees that she will accept whatever appointment she is selected for based on the responses above, and agrees that she is a member in good standing of the Bethel registered under. Supreme 2021 Registration Packet as of 02.02.21 Page 5 of 17 SUPREME SESSION LODGING The SAC 2021 contract requires a minimum number of reservations in our room blocks. IF you book a large block of rooms, and then release them later, YOUR JURISDICTION may be fined if your cancellation resulted in fees assessed to SAC 2021. ALL LODGING cancellations must be made by June 15, 2021. When booking your room please identify that you are part of the Job’s Daughters room block. Embassy Suites Hampton - Headquarters Hotel – connected to the Convention Center 1700 Coliseum Drive, Hampton, VA 23666 Reservations: 757-827-8200 www.embassysuites.com (Group Code: JBI) Complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast daily as well as a complimentary evening reception. Amenities include: 2-room suites, microwave and mini-fridge, day spa, indoor pool, free Wi-Fi, free parking, and free shuttle within a 5-mile radius of the hotel. $139.00++ (Same rates as in 2017) When making reservations here please include everyone that will be in the room(s) so that they will receive a breakfast ticket. A deposit for the first room night is required when reservations are made. This guide showcases the attractive variety of plants native to Southeast Virginia, which includes the Hampton Roads region. Native plant species have evolved within specific areas and been dispersed throughout their range without known human involvement. These plants form the primary structure of the living landscape and provide food and shelter for native animal species. Although this guide is not comprehensive, the native plants featured here were selected because they are attractive, relatively easy for the home gardener to acquire, easy to maintain, and offer Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) and Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus) various benefits to wildlife and the environment. Years ago, as a history major at the University of California at Berkeley, it was an essential part of my education to “experience” life in the Historic Triangle. I was fortunate to be selected for a study program that brought me to William & Mary for a semester. That was my first introduction to the East Coast, to Virginia, and to Williamsburg. I lived in a motel with several dozen college students, and we walked through the historic area of Colonial Williamsburg to classes.
