Range Resources 2018 Corporate Sustainability Report 3 01 A Letter to Our Stakeholders

Dear Range Shareholders, Governmental Leaders, Partners and Employees,

For more than 40 years, Range Resources Corporation has proudly focused on delivering energy solutions and value to our partners and shareholders. Our commitment to corporate sustainability guides our work each day, influencing every aspect of our operations from the boardroom to the well pad.

We don’t just do this because it makes good business sense, we do this because it’s the right thing to do.

From developing clean-burning using innovative technologies that further reduce and minimize methane emissions to supporting civic organizations that are important to our employees and the communities where we operate, we constantly challenge ourselves to do more.

Our core values – Performance, Innovation, Integrity and Transparency – guide us in the work we do every day as a natural gas industry leader. These values reflect how we operate as a company and are deeply rooted in our commitment to improving the communities where we work.

We take great pride in the progress we continue to make towards our sustainability goals, pioneering innovations that have helped shape new standards for shale development and becoming the first company to voluntarily disclose our fracturing fluid, and to achieve 100 percent reuse levels through our water recycling program, among many other industry-leading best practices that we continuously enhance.

Range has been at the forefront of the industry in emission reductions by using cutting-edge technologies and customized engineering solutions that enable us to effectively manage emissions while improving overall production. We have demonstrated leadership in our engagement of peers and partners across the supply chain and community to help achieve emissions reduction goals.

As a company, our commitment to doing things right is a challenge and goal embraced from the highest levels of the organization, including our Board of Directors, who evaluates performance in those areas on a quarterly basis. The entire Board of Directors reviews statistics and operational performance and discusses trends in data, issues to mitigate, opportunities for progress, as well as improvements and achievements.

We also rely on the support of our partners and key stakeholders to ensure that everything we do is conducted in a responsible manner that puts safety and community first.

Our collaborative approach delivers significant benefits to our employees, the communities where we operate, and the environment – all while seeking to deliver shareholder value.

While we’re proud of these important accomplishments, we recognize the importance of continuing to raise the bar at every opportunity. We fully appreciate the heightened focus and critical priorities among stakeholders to continuously challenge ourselves to be better. That’s particularly true as it relates to effectively managing emissions and water. We are a part of these communities and we hold our responsibility to safely produce sustainable natural gas in the highest regard.

Thank you for your interest in our commitments, performance and continued progress. Sincerely,

Jeffrey L Ventura Chief Executive Officer and President
