News of the month

Dr. Muhammad Tariq’s lecture on "Professional Leadership in Department of Information Management

Department of Information Management, University of the Punjab, invited Dr. Muhammad Tariq, to deliver a lecture on "Professional Leadership". Ms Fatima Usman, Assistant Librarian CIIT Lahore also participated the lecture as Assistant Trainer. The lecture was held on May 17, 2017 in the seminar hall of DoIM, Punjab University. The students belong to final year semester (Morning/Evening) was the participant of this guest lecture. As archetypal, and due to video clips, activities, ice breakers and interactive discussion, students took great interest in the lecture. On her concluding remarks Ms. Nosheen Fatima Warriach, appraised the presentation style, components of the topic and activities being done during the lecture. As thanking note, Ms. Nosheen Warriach presented bouquet to Dr. Muhammad Tariq, Incharge Library Information Services, CIIT Lahore and also thanked Ms Fatima Usman for her active role in the lecture.

A Delegation from National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) visites CIIT-Lahore library The delegation of National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) visited CIIT-Lahore library along with Dr. Qaisar Abbas (Director CIIT-Lahore) , Dr. Amir Rashid (HOD MS) and senior faculty members on May 15, 2017. Dr. Muhammad Tariq (Library In charge) welcome the delegation and briefed them about library resources and services being provided to library users. The delegation also visited different sections of the library and admired the services, resources, infrastructure that are being provided to the users.

Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) visites library

A team of Engineering Council (PEC) visited Library Information Services, CIIT Lahore on May 05, 2017 along with Senior Faculty members of EE department, for the accreditation of Electronics degree. Muhammad Ishtiaq Deputy Librarian & Ms. Nasira Munir welcomed and briefed them about library resources and services. Team also visited different sections of the library and admired the services and infrastructure that are being provided to the users.

School Textbooks Exchange Program

Library Information Services CIIT-Lahore has started a new program entitled "School Textbooks Exchange Program". The program is purely voluntarily and intends to promote principals of humanity and sadqa jaria besides safeguarding the books against destruction and facilitating CIIT community. All employees of this campus who intend to donate, receive or exchange school books of their children at any level/grade may participate in the program by filling the form in the following link. https://docs.google.com/…/1FAIpQLScpZ8JphVqBZTTBN…/viewform… Please note that this program has been started with the intention of helping our people and does not involve any cost etc.

الہور )پ ر( کامسیٹس الہور اور کوٹ لکھپت جیل کے تحت قیدیوں کو کمپیوٹر ٹیکنالوجی پر تربیت کی کامیاب تکمیل پر اسناد کی تقسیم کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ اس موقع پر وفاقی محتسب سلمان فاروق مہمان خصوصی کے طور پر شریک ہوئے۔ تربیتی پروگرام کے لئے تمام مالی اور تکنیکی سہولیات کامسیٹس الہور کیمپس کی جانب سے فراہم کی گئی۔ اس تربیتی کورس کے انعقاد کو عملی جامعہ پہناننے کے لئے کامسیٹس کی جانب سے پہلے دو کمپیوٹر لیبارٹریوں کی تعمیر مستقل بنیادوں پر عمل میں الئی گئی، جس میں سے ایک لیب جو مرد قیدیوں کے لئے تیار کی گئی اس میں پندرہ کمپیوٹر رکھے گئے اور خواتین قیدیوں کی تربیت کے لئے قائم کردہ لیب میں پانچ کمپیوٹر رکھے گئے۔
