Destination of Leavers from Higher Education 2013-14 Survey Responses DESTINATION OF LEAVERS FROM HIGHER EDUCATION 2013-14 SURVEY RESPONSES Census Dates April 2014 - For students who left between 1st August 2013 and 31st December 2013 January 2015 - For students who left between 1st January 2014 and 31st July 2014 Exclusions All programmes with less than five responses have been excluded from the survey. Salary details are supressed if less than three valid responses have been given. Population The survey population includes students surveyed by Bournemouth University which are outside the official population, such as Legal Practice Course students, in addition to the HESA DLHE population. This is why Minderoo Foundation’s Walk Free Initiative and WikiRate partnered in 2016 to assess the modern slavery statements produced under the 2015 UK Modern Slavery Act. In doing so, we aimed to unlock the content of these statements and share the metrics we developed to assess business activities to combat modern slavery. The report is available here. Since January 2019, we have shifted our approach to focusing on specific sectors. With an estimated 12,000-17,000 UK-based companies having to publish statements per annum, a sector- specific approach allows us to provide a more tailored analysis of the statements and their quality, and to develop recommendations of what constitutes a strong statement and good business practice. This is the first report since we adopted this approach and it focuses on the hotels sector. The statements assessed in this report are available on the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre registry.
