Feed your inbox Sponsored This year, the glitterati of Singapore’s culinary world converged at Fullerton Hotel Singapore for a star studded event. This is only the second edition of the Singapore Michelin guide. Last year’s big reveal was a surprise when two hawkers, namely Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle in Crawford Lane and Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle at Chinatown Food Complex, got blasted into a superstar stratosphere upon receiving their one star rating. The two hawkers retained their one star rating this year. Announcing the 1 Michelin Star recipients This year, there are 11 new entrants to the Michelin guide. Debuting on the list are Saint Pierre, Braci, Meta Restaurant, Whitegrass, Garibaldi – Italian Restaurant and Bar, Cheek By Jowl, Iggy’s, Labyrinth, Summer Palace (Regent Hotel Singapore), Chef Kang’s Kitchen and Imperial Treasure Fine Teochew Cuisine. Perhaps the most under-the-radar restaurant to get a star this year is Chef Kang’s Kitchen, a boutique Cantonese restaurant along 25 McKenzie Road. Two restaurants have also dropped from the list this year: Terra Tokyo Italian and Forest (Resorts World Sentosa).
