For the third year in four, FC Bayern München and Manchester City FC meet in the UEFA Champions League group stage – starting in Munich on matchday one. Previous meetings • City came from two goals down to end Bayern's record ten-game run of UEFA Champions League wins on matchday six last term. It meant the teams finished level on points with Bayern top thanks to their preceding 3-1 win at City. • The lineups for that Munich encounter on 10 December 2013 were: Bayern: Neuer, Lahm, , Boateng, Alaba, Thiago, Kroos, Ribéry, Müller, Götze (Martínez 55), Mandžukić (Shaqiri 68).
