Among these gifts, Harter secured an endowed Chair in Creative Writing currently held by Nevada’s first Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka. This year UNLV will publicly announce its first-ever fundraising Capital Campaign with an anticipated goal of more than $400 million being raised for academic programs, scholarships, endowments, and facilities support – an unprecedented number in the history of fundraising in Nevada. As the leader of this $405 million organization, President Harter is recognized as one of the top female executives in Nevada. DR. CAROL C. She currently serves on the Board of Southwest USA Bank, and during the past 10 HARTER years has twice served on the NCAA Division I Board of Directors and the NCAA Executive Committee.
