In this culminating design the outworn garment of the human body is given back to the waiting upheld arms of Mother Earth. In her gentle alchemy this universal Mother receives all borrowed ele- ments unto her ample breast again, and heals the heart of man with her abiding peace. The real Self of us, the Solar Angel of our beings, draws forth immortal harvesting into the glow- ing jewel of life’s supreme fruition. Wings of this angel form a chalice of receiving from above, then fold earthward in a mighty urge of comforting and compassion-wings echoing the chaliced arms of Mother Earth. In myriad ways throughout our lives are upreaching arms from earth forever answered by loving wings from heaven. The stars shown in the lower portion near the form of Mother Earth are radiant entities of Illumined mankind. Great souls throughout world cycles are the larger stars gleaming in this aura of the earth, forever guiding and inspiring us toward our own stellar destiny. Let us seek a daily winnowing toward the splendor of our ultimate harvest. Gathering the sub- stance of our wholeness, the mystical and manifest fulfillment of our years, we come at last, each in his own soul’s timing, to know the majesty and miracle of “Death’s Bright Angel.” This design symbolizes also the “Golden Wedding Garment” which each individual weaves throughout his whole span of life. The essence of all divine Love and Wisdom which each life has to offer is integrated into this luminous enduring garment. No least fragment of good is lost, no lov- ing service unremembered. Each “cup of cold water in His name” becomes the shining substance of this weaving. In the heart center of the winged figure is cherished all beauty, light and harmony which the per- sonality life has ever known. This truth is expressed by the rhythmic lines flowing upward from opened flower, candle flames and resonant organ pipes. So it is that beauty and fragrance of flow- ers, tender glow of candle fight, and rich comforting tones of organ music create a perfect earthly ritual for the last blessing of our dear ones. This time of poignant grief marks transition hours between our seeing and not seeing them among us. If we are aware, their tranquil presence can give us a silent utterance of healing, message of an infinite deep peace resolving out of all life’s turbulence. Despite the darkness with which tradition has shrouded these vital hours of bereavement, the light within can shine all the more clearly if we have courage to gaze through the glistening of our tears into life’s perfect pattern of release. It is for our own loneliness we weep rather than for those now liberated. Let us not throw our darkened webs about their wings. Let us not blemish the glory of their freedom with our bondage. Though we remain a part of earth, let us be one with them in bridging into the realms of their Immortal Harvesting. r RAYS 01 3 EDITORIAL That Which Was from the Beginning NEW YEAR and a new millennium exchanges, petri dish conceptions—welcome to begins this month. Without guidance, this is usually impossible. Therefore, lowe my biggest thanks to Peter and Laura Yorke of Ra Horakhty Temple, who provided my first exposure to self-initiation techniques in the Golden Dawn. Their years of expe rience with the Golden Dawn material yielded a structure of carefully selected ex ercises, which their students still use today to bring about a gradual transformation. WIthout such well-prescribed use of the Golden Dawn's techniques, it would have been difficult to make progress in its grade system. The basic structure of the course in this book is built on a foundation of the Golden Dawn's elemental grade system as my teachers passed it on. In particular, it develops further their choice to use the color correspondences of the Four Worlds, a piece of the original Golden Dawn system that very few occultists have recognized as an ini tiatory tool.

The Fraternity of the Rose Cross by Manly Palmer Hall ROSICRUCIAN PHILOSOPHER Father C.R.C (Christian Rosie Cross or Christian Rosencreutz)—considered not only as a personality, but also as a personification of the system of spiritual philosophy which he is reputed to have established—which explains why no authentic portrait of Father C.R.C. has ever been discovered. The Great Book of the Rose Cross lies unclasped upon the table, beside it an hour glass, intimating that in time all shall be revealed. Artist: JAKnapp Free eBook 1 The Fraternity of the Rose Cross p. 137 WHO were the Rosicrucians? Were they an organization of profound thinkers rebelling against the inquisitional religious and philosophical limitations of their time or were they isolated transcendentalists united only by the similarity of their viewpoints and deductions? Where was the "House of the Holy Spirit, " in which, according to their manifestoes, they met once a year to plan the future activities of their Order? Who was the mysterious person referred to as "Our Illustrious Father and Brother C.R.C."? Did those three letters actually stand for the words "Christian Rosie Cross"? Was Christian Rosencreutz, the supposed author of the Chymical Nuptials, the same person who with three others founded "The Society of the Rose Cross"? What relationship existed between Rosicrucianism and mediæval Freemasonry? Why were the destinies of these two organizations so closely interwoven? • “The Rosicrucians (Rose Cross) Cult” Was Founded on the “Legend Of
The Need for Teaching the Eschatological Gospel of Both Comings of Jesus Christ in the 21st Century . 3.5.3 Rosicrucians According to Kirban, “The Rosicrucians (rose cross) cult” was founded on the “legend of Christian Rosenkreuz, founder of the Fraternity of the Rosy Cross.” Rosenkreuz was born in Germany in 1378. He was sent to a monastery at the age of five and there learned Greek and Latin. He later traveled to the Middle East and stayed in Damascus. From there begins the story of the birth of the Fraternity of the Rosy Cross. At the age of sixteen, Rosenkreuz learned of some “Wise Men” at Damcar in Arabia. Rosenkreuz claimed that these wise men warmly welcomed him as a long lost brother. He then learned Arabic from them and was able to translate a secret book, the Liber M, into Latin. He spent three years there; from Damcar he went to Egypt, and two years later, left for Spain. Rosenkreuz was disappointed that he was not enthusiastically welcomed in Spain, so he returned to Germany. It was there that three monks from his old monastery joined him and became his disciples. They took an oath to keep secret all that they learned from Rosenkreuz. So that their successors could carry on the Fraternity of the Rosy Cross, they recorded everything in a manuscript book. Thus, the Fraternity of the Rosy Cross began with four members. Eventually, four others joined. All eight members were unmarried, pledged to chastity and agreed to a number of guidelines: 1. None of the members were to exercise any profession except medicine and they were not to accept payment.

  • Rosicrucian Society Essay Meanings of the Rose Croix
ROSICRUCIAN SOCIETY ESSAY MEANINGS OF THE ROSE CROIX TRADITION HARRY V. EISENBERG, M.D., Vl 0 Rose Croix, also called Rose Cross or The Rosy Cross, is an Order whose symbol is a red cross with a white rose at its center. Its founder was the semi-mythical Christian Rosenkreuz, who was a Kabba list and alchemist and founder of the Rosicrucian Order. This symbol exemplified the teachings of a tradition formed within the Christian tenets and represented by the following quote which defined itself: "What think you loving people, and how seem you affected, seeing that you now understand and know, that we acknowledge ourselves truly and sincerely to profess Christ, condemn the Pope, addict ourselves to the true Philosophy, lead a Christian life, and daily call, entreat and invite many more unto our Fraternity, unto whom the same Light of God likewise appeareth?"1 However, the symbol had several meanings depending on the source. From a non sectarian or non-religious viewpoint, represented by a group such as the Ancient and Mystical Order Rosae Crucis, it was said that the rosy cross predated Christianity and that the cross represented the human body and the rose represented man's unfolding consciousness. 2 The Rosicrucian Fellowship and similar rosicrucianists holding an esoteric Christian viewpoint maintained that the Rosicrucian Brotherhood was founded in the early 14th century.3 It began as an Invisible College of mystic sages, as previously mentioned, by a highly evolved entity with the symbolic name of Christian Rosenkreuz, with the mission of "preparing a new phase of the Christian religion to be used during the coming age now at hand, for as the world and man evolve, so also must religion change."4 We can define Rosicrucianism in a generic sense as the study or membership in a philosophical secret society founded in late medieval Germany by Christian Rosenkreuz.
