Department of Transport GERALDTON 2050 CYCLING STRATEGY 2018 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Cities and towns with high levels of cycling enjoy a range of economic, environmental and social benefits. Not only is cycling proven to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality, it also helps to create more vibrant and welcoming communities. Cycling can facilitate new forms of industry (such as cycle-tourism) and more generally, it enables people to live happier, healthier and more active lives.
