Jesus implied that to have too many of the material things would make it too hard to really follow Him. But Jesus also reminded those listening to Him that what man thinks is impossible becomes possible when one’s life is really rooted in God and based on Faith. Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish Blessing of Animals On Thursday, October 4, many celebrated the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, of Animals. The annual Blessing of Pets had many pets and their companions smiling as they gathered in front of Saint Catherine of Sienna Church and at Saint Vincent De Paul. Many parishioners of both parishes participated in special prayer service and blessing of the animals led by Msgr. Rick (at SCS) and Fr. George (at SVDP).

Saint Catherine of Sienna R.C. Church & Saint Vincent De Paul Faith Community 2018 FALL PARISH MISSION Hundreds gathered and united in prayer during the Parish Mission last week. As Rev. Gerry Fitzsimmons reminded all at every session “Jesus is Here!” The faithful listened to the living Word, opened their hearts to hear the messages on God’s overwhelming love for us, Christ’s plan for our happiness and God’s forgiveness for all and raised their voices in praise of Our Lord through song. On the final evening was the celebration of the Eucharist whereby all came together at the Table of the Lord in thanksgiving. As Jesus commands, we are to love God and one another. Let us continue to pray together for each other, our families, neighbors and those in need. Our Parish Family and Faith Community is grateful for Fr. Gerry, our Pastor Msgr. Rick, our Associate Pastors Fr. Allan and Fr. George, our priest in residence Fr. Emmanuel and the visiting Priests Fr. Tony, Fr. Vincent Bulus, and Fr. Lawerence Onyegu, who served and supported the faithful throughout the Parish Mission.
